Newly released bodycam footage captures Atlanta rapper Karrahbooo in a heated confrontation with police, escalating her recent arrest into a viral moment that’s raising eyebrows. The 27-year-old artist, whose real name is Karrah Celaye Schuster, was arrested on May 31, 2024, at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Cobb County, Georgia, for allegedly assaulting a staff member after her performance on Key Glock’s Glockaveli Tour. The footage, which surfaced recently, shows her lashing out at officers, claiming innocence, and alleging mistreatment, sparking debates about her actions and the police response.
The incident unfolded just after midnight on June 1, 2024, when Karrahbooo was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a misdemeanor simple battery charge. Authorities say surveillance footage, not yet public, shows her pushing past security and striking a venue employee in the face, leading to her arrest alongside another individual, Don Smith, who also faced a battery charge. She was released after posting a $1,000 bond, but this viral rapper arrest video has thrust the case back into the spotlight.
In the video, Karrahbooo appears visibly upset, swinging between defiance and distress. She tells Cobb County police officers,
“Y’all arrested a girl for no reason,”
and claims,
“Grown ass niggas kicking me in my head.”
She references a witness, described as a “lady in the red shoe,” who allegedly saw her being mistreated, though no further details about this witness have emerged. At one point, she prays,
“God, please protect me and keep me,”
before apologizing and then resuming her verbal attacks, calling officers “horrible people” and vowing legal action with a “good lawyer.” Her emotional outbursts, including insults like “chicken legs” and racially charged remarks, have fueled online discussions.
Karrahbooo, known for tracks like “Running Late” and her brief stint with Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys label, performed as an opening act before the incident. She claims she was kicked and sent to the ground after her set, a narrative echoed by an eyewitness who saw her outside the venue, shaken and in tears, saying,
“I just wanna home.”
On X, she posted
“I’m innocent ,”
doubling down on her stance. However, police assert the surveillance footage supports their account of her initiating the altercation.
The footage also highlights her frustration over her confiscated phone, with officers explaining,
“You can’t have it back there,”
to which she responds,
“I’ve been to jail before. I have my phone.”
An officer counters,
“Cobb County is different,”
hinting at stricter local protocols. Her references to prior jail experiences and a conversation with her mother about medication, shared on X, suggest personal struggles may have played a role, though no official reports confirm this. As the Karrahbooo bodycam footage continues circulating, the incident remains a contentious topic among fans and critics, adding another chapter to the year’s celebrity crime reports.
