Jhene Aiko Reaches Gold-Standard 20 Times In a Row
At this point, Jhene Aiko should have more than enough money to retire off, given that she’s reached gold status 20 times in a row. She’s done the impossible. Last week, the singer’s 2020 single “Above & Beyond” earned her another gold star by the RIAA. That’s another win for Jhene Aiko going in the books.
She’s Taking Over The HipHop Scene
After doing the math, it’s clear to see why the single became a gold-certified single.
For one, the track took the #1 spot on the Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart and came in 2nd place on the Billboard 200 Chart. Additionally, her album Chilombo still remains one of the biggest selling albums from a female R&B artist since Beyonce’s 2016 Lemonade record.
Furthermore, Aiko has sold over millions of copies of the album alone. Not to mention, Jhene Aiko’s Chilombo took home a slew of awards, including a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Album. Looks like 2023 is turning out to be a good year for the star. Congrats to Jhene Aiko on her big win.
