InfoWars senior editor and journalist Jamie White was brutally murdered late Sunday night, March 9, 2025, near his South Austin residence. Austin Police Department (APD) said that White was found with visible trauma and transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. No suspects have been identified by police yet, and the investigation continues.
White’s killing is the eighth in Austin this year, and it has intensified new fears over rising crime in the city. It has drawn angry reactions from colleagues, media personalities, and members of the public, who are demanding justice and more accountability on policy from local law enforcement agencies.
APD responded to a distress call late Sunday night. Police officers arrived to find White with serious injuries that indicated a vicious attack. Although no suspect has been named, police have promised the public that every lead is being pursued.
APD has requested that if anyone has any information, please come forward, stating, “We are trying to piece together what happened that led to Mr. White’s death.” We are asking the public to assist us in bringing those persons responsible to justice.”
InfoWars creator Alex Jones was quick to respond to White’s murder, releasing a public statement on Monday.

Jones also criticized Garza’s policies for the city’s rising crime rate, saying that law enforcement has been compromised while he has been in office.
Jamie’s senseless death will not be in vain, and the people responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice.
On a broadcast on X, Jones referred to White as a “good friend” and “InfoWars’ best writer,” noting his efforts in investigative journalism. Jones alleged that White was killed on his way home late Sunday night, stating.
“You killed Jamie White. You opened the door, you set the climate, you set conditions intentionally.”
White’s murder has caused outrage on social media, with public figures sharing messages of shock and demanding justice. Elon Musk also weighed in by retweeting White’s last post before his death, where he had retweeted Musk’s statement: “Yeah, why are liberals so violent?” Musk blamed “legacy media propaganda” for promoting hatred and violence.
Writer and journalist Chase Geiser also paid tribute to White, stating, “Jamie upheld the ancient Spartan creed, ‘with your shield or on it.’ Though I’m saddened to see he’s come home on his shield, it’s warriors like him that enable us to press on with the fight in the InfoWar.”
