Gracie Bon just tried to put herself inside the most anticipated game on the planet — and the internet wasn’t buying it.
The Panamanian model and influencer, who has built a massive following on body-positivity content and a successful OnlyFans, dropped a claim over the weekend that Rockstar Games scanned her body for Grand Theft Auto VI. She posted what she said was a direct message from the studio, followed by a video of herself in a motion-capture suit, measuring tape in hand, and a caption thanking Rockstar for “making one of my biggest dreams come true” for “all the gorditas in the world.”
The posts exploded. Within a day the video had racked up millions of views. Then the Community Notes hit.
X users flagged the supposed Rockstar DM as a fake. The studio doesn’t recruit talent through Instagram messages, the notes said, and the screenshot looked like the same template that circulates every few months. A second note on the video itself called the footage AI-generated and suggested it was more promotion for Bon’s adult content than any official studio session. Rockstar, characteristically silent, has offered zero confirmation, denial, or even a raised eyebrow.
Bon, 29, is no stranger to viral moments. She’s spoken openly about living with lipedema, her earlier weight struggles, and the decision to lean into her curves rather than hide them. That authenticity helped her grow past 11 million Instagram followers and land brand deals, including with Fashion Nova. Positioning herself as the face of “gordita” representation in the biggest entertainment release of the year fits the brand she’s carefully built.
The timing, of course, was perfect. Rockstar had just dropped its Extended Look on Netflix, the November 19, 2026 release date is locked, and the entire industry is holding its breath for GTA 6. In that climate, any claim of inclusion becomes rocket fuel.
Here’s what Rockstar has actually confirmed about bodies in the game: NPCs will show a much wider range of shapes, ages, and styles than previous titles, and the two protagonists will gain or lose weight and muscle based on how players feed and train them. Those systems are real. A specific influencer body scan for Gracie Bon is not.
When Rockstar does use real people for face or body data, it happens through formal casting channels under tight NDAs — not through public Instagram DMs and self-shot videos. The handful of performers whose Backstage profiles have listed GTA 6 scan work are relative unknowns, not social media stars with millions of followers and an incentive to post.
The episode says as much about the current attention economy as it does about the game. In the final stretch before a cultural behemoth like GTA 6 arrives, the gravitational pull is irresistible. Influencers, streamers, and brands all try to attach themselves to the orbit. Some of those attempts stick. Most get noted, questioned, and quietly filed under “unverified.”
As of now, Gracie Bon’s body scan remains in that second category. The dream she described may still be real for her. The official connection to Rockstar, so far, is not.
