JIANGSU, China: A Chinese bride surprised her gamer groom with an ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 graphics card at their wedding, bringing him to tears in a moment that has resurfaced and gone viral again across social media.
The video, originally from a 2025 wedding in Jiangsu province, shows the groom solving a mathematical puzzle , 520 × 10 + 1,314 − 514 − 619 + 666 − 957 = 5,090, where each number carries romantic significance in Chinese internet slang: 520 sounds like “I love you,” 1,314 means “forever,” 514 translates to “until death,” 619 to “escaping forever,” and 666 to “awesome,” according to Tom’s Hardware.
After solving the equation, the bride’s companions brought out a large box containing the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090, a premium graphics card that retailed for approximately $3,000 at launch but has seen prices surge due to AI-driven demand and limited supply. In China, the standard RTX 5090 is not officially available; the market receives a variant called the RTX 5090D, though reports indicate the gift was a standard model.
The groom, visibly overwhelmed, burst into tears and lifted the card above his head like a trophy as guests applauded, according to LiveMint and Moneycontrol coverage.
Social media users flooded comments sections calling the couple “relationship goals,” with one user writing: “And he realises that he married the right woman.” Another said: “The wedding vows were just the loading screen for this moment.”
The RTX 5090 has become one of the most sought-after pieces of consumer hardware globally, with scarcity driven by the AI boom redirecting GPU production toward data centers. Prices for premium models like the ASUS ROG Astral have climbed well above the $1,999 launch price, with some Chinese listings reaching 54,000 yuan (approximately $7,500), according to VGOver.
An X post from RT_Visual_on_X sharing the resurfaced video circulated widely in October 2026, introducing the wedding moment to a new audience more than a year after the original event.
