Gunna Reveals Incredible Gym Transformation After 3 Years of Daily Workouts

Gunna says he’s gone three years without missing a day in the gym — 1,095 straight sessions — and the physical results are hard to ignore.

In a recent Men’s Health interview, the Atlanta rapper laid out the routine that has defined this stretch of his career. Six days a week. Running to start. Core work. Then weights, curls and pull-ups on alternating days. “I’ve been doing it for 3 years straight and I don’t see myself stopping,” he said. “Discipline. I got to keep challenging myself every day.”

The habit took root after his December 2022 release from jail. While locked up he shed weight largely through restricted eating. Once free, he began running three-mile trails near a house in Arizona, treating the miles as mental reset more than pure exercise. A trainer eventually entered the picture. Dustin Enriquez has stayed with him through major tours, including a 27-date global run, and has said the pair rarely skipped sessions even on show days.

The change is visible. Earlier images showed a fuller frame. Recent photos and stage appearances capture a leaner, more defined version of the artist, particularly through the upper body. Gunna has put the weight loss in the 30-to-40-pound range and continues to target remaining back fat by dialing back carbs and starches. His fridge now leans toward green juices, ginger shots, salmon, fruit and protein. Sweets stay mostly out of the house.

The same discipline has spilled into public projects. In 2025 he launched the Wunna Run 5K series, starting in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park and expanding to cities including Atlanta, London, Johannesburg and Los Angeles. Crowds have been sizable, with Under Armour coming on as a sponsor. Gunna has framed the runs as both personal and cultural, noting that structured fitness was not always presented as an option outside of organized sports in the communities he came from.

Online reaction to the latest claim mixed praise for the consistency with the usual skepticism about exact numbers and before-and-after photos. The broader record is clearer. Multiple years of steady training, a measurable drop in weight he has confirmed himself, improved stage stamina, and a growing run-club following all sit alongside the music. At this stage the gym appears less like a temporary chapter and more like part of how Gunna operates.
