Currently, doctors have the rapper on life-support. DMX fans and celebrities have sent out their prays to the rapper, hoping for a recovery. Hopefully, the rap community won’t have to suffer another loss by another rap icon.
DMX’s Struggles With Drugs
Like regular people, celebrities suffer from a horde of personal issues. Many famous personalities have even come forth to talk about their mental health problems and drug addictions. Despite his reluctance, DMX has opened up about his drug addiction and mental health problems. During an interview on BET’s documentary The Ruff Ryder’s Chronicles, the 50-year-old revealed that he started smoking crack at 14-years-old. The onset of his drug addition led the rap icon to suffer a multiple personality disorder. “There’s a few things, a few people in me and they get me through life,” the rapper said in the interview. Clearly DMX has led a hard and difficult life. He’s even been to rehab numerous times to treat his addiction. Unfortunately, treatment didn’t solve his problems.
DMX Suffers An Overdose
When it comes to righting wrongs in our life, it can feel like an impossible battle at times. DMX currently fights for life after suffering a major drug overdose on Friday night. At first, Rolling Stone, confirmed that the 50-year-old had been placed on life support. Though, some miscommunication existed between the publication and DMX’s attorney Murray Richman on his condition. Eventually, both parties confirmed that doctors put DMX on life support. However, more details revealed that a “lack of oxygen” has severely degraded his mental state. Doctors now say the rapper has become unresponsive and fallen into a “vegetative state.” At this time, DMX’s recovery seems uncertain. No doubt everyone has sent out their prays to the emcee.
