Fans of singer D4vd are sharing videos online of a striking feature at his “Withered World Tour” concerts: a casket, a wreath, and a notepad with a pencil for writing letters to the deceased. This haunting setup, part of the 20-year-old singer-songwriter’s 2025 tour, has sparked widespread discussion, especially as it intersects with a disturbing homicide investigation linked to the artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.
At his shows, D4vd places a casket and a wreath on stage, creating a somber vibe that mirrors the emotional depth of his music, including hits like “Romantic Homicide.” The notepad and pencil invite fans to pen messages to loved ones who have passed, a gesture some praise as a powerful way to process grief. One fan shared on social media, “It felt like a safe space to reflect on loss.” Others, however, find the setup unsettling, particularly given recent developments
The D4vd tour’s dark imagery has taken on new significance following the discovery of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas’s remains in a Tesla registered to D4vd.
On September 8, 2025, Los Angeles police found the teenager’s decomposed body in the front trunk of the impounded vehicle at a Hollywood tow yard, after it was abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. Celeste, missing since April 2024, was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, and her death is being treated as a homicide. The investigation includes searching a nearby home, though no specific findings have been released.
Celeste’s mother provided key details to authorities, noting that her daughter had a boyfriend named David. She also said the police description of the body, including a “Shhh…” tattoo on the right index finger, matched her daughter’s appearance, which included wavy black hair, a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal bracelet, and stud earrings. Reports indicate D4vd has a similar “Shhh…” tattoo, fueling online speculation, though no confirmed connection between the singer and Celeste’s boyfriend has been established.
D4vd, who was on tour outside California during the discovery, has not been named a suspect. The Tesla, which multiple people use, complicates the investigation.

Fans are divided. Some defend D4vd, citing his tour schedule as evidence that he wasn’t in Los Angeles when the car was abandoned. Others question the timing of his tour’s casket setup, with one social media user writing, “The casket and wreath feel too close to this case to ignore.”
The investigation has led to professional repercussions, with brands like Crocs and Hollister dropping D4vd from campaigns. Still, the singer has continued performing, with shows scheduled in San Francisco on September 19 and Los Angeles on September 20, while promoting projects like his Fortnite anthem “Locked & Loaded.” He has not commented publicly on the case.
As videos of the D4vd tour setup circulate, the notepad ritual resonates with fans, offering a space for reflection amid the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are still working to determine how Celeste’s remains ended up in the Tesla and whether her boyfriend, David, has any link to D4vd.
