Busta Rhymes found himself at the center of a viral moment over the weekend after confronting a TikTok content creator Puerto Poll who intentionally misidentified him as comedian Tracy Morgan during Miami’s Art Basel festivities on Dec. 7.
In the video, Poll approaches Busta — who appears in a pink sweater, white pants and a large gold chain — in a crowded outdoor setting filled with fans and security. While extending his hand, Poll immediately begins trolling, greeting the rapper as “Tracy Morgan,” a joke that has circulated online in recent weeks due to social media chatter comparing the two entertainers’ appearances.
Busta’s demeanor shifts quickly. “Don’t put your hand on me,” he says after Poll touches his arm, and the exchange escalates when Poll repeats the misidentification. “What? Trace—what did I just say? Nah bro, disrespect,” Busta responds, pointing directly at the creator and accusing him of trying to be funny at his expense.
Poll attempts to explain himself, but Busta continues pressing him on the remark, visibly frustrated as the crowd looks on. At one point, Busta steps toward Poll, who backs away while continuing to film. The video ends with Poll retreating into the crowd as Busta and what appears to be security personnel follow behind.
Witnesses described the prank as “disrespectful,” noting Busta repeatedly pressed the creator to explain why he used Morgan’s name. Despite the intensity of the exchange, no physical altercation occurred.

Many fans defended Busta, calling the prank unprofessional and pointing to his legacy as one of hip-hop’s most respected figures.
The joke ties back to recent social media posts referencing Busta Rhymes’ weight fluctuations and longtime health disclosures, including past struggles with asthma and sleep apnea. Comparisons between the rapper and Morgan — known for his roles on 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live — had circulated online leading up to Art Basel.
