Devin Haney, 26, is an undefeated boxing champion with a global following. He has now become the focus of a different kind of fight this time in court.
This argument is about the dynamics between Haney and Leena Sayed, mother and social media influencer of Khrome, their daughter born in January 2025.
Tensions escalated late last year. In December 2024, Sayed alleged that Haney pushed her while she was nine months pregnant. By June 2025, she obtained a temporary restraining order (TRO), citing what she described as a pattern of abuse over 18 months.
Less than two months after that, on August 20, 2025, Haney sued Sayed in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Haney alleges in his suit that Sayed extorted him, defamed him, and intentionally caused him emotional distress. He accuses her of threatening to cause “reputational ruin” and loss of visitation rights with his daughter unless more money was paid.
Haney’s attorney, Bobby Samini, told hypefresh:
“Devin will not be extorted, intimidated, or coerced. He will defend his name and values against false narratives.”
The lawsuit describes Sayed’s conduct as “extreme and outrageous” and seeks unspecified damages.
Sayed rejects Haney’s allegations. She points to the restraining order she obtained in June as evidence of her claims.
Her attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told hypefresh:
“Ms. Sayed is not extorting Devin Haney. She is seeking only what the law requires—lawful child support. In the law of defamation, truth is a defense.”
Kaplan has also called out Haney for airing the disagreement in the press, as the case is best handled in the family court, not on social media.

The dispute has drawn widespread attention online, especially after hip-hop news outlet No Jumper shared details of the lawsuit on social media.
The case has sparked controversy over star power, accusations ofdomestic violence, and the threat of trial by social media, in which rumors spread freely long before judges deliver a verdict.
Supporters of Haney argue the boxer is defending his reputation and career, while Sayed’s supporters say her abuse allegations should not be dismissed.
A hearing on Sayed’s temporary restraining orderis scheduled for September 2025. Haney’s lawsuit will continue separately in Los Angeles Superior Court.
For now, the case highlights how personal disputes involving high-profile figures can quickly escalate into public controversies with far-reaching consequences.
