Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine Tapped to Produce Biopic

Dr. Dre and Iovine team up to produce the long-awaited Marvin Gaye “What’s Going On” biopic.

Warner Bros. bought the biopic script for over $80 million, written by Marcus Gardley, according to Deadline. Dr. Dre and Iovine will join filmmaker Andrew Lazar in producing the biopic, with Allen Hughes directing.

In an interview with Deadline, Hughes expressed his personal connection to the project, stating, “When I made my first film with my brother, we were lucky to include ‘What’s Going On’ in the trailer for ‘Menace 2 Society,’ and it completely transformed the film’s marketing. Almost all of my films, except for ‘From Hell,’ featured Marvin Gaye’s music, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to him.”

According to Deadline, the Marvin Gaye estate and Motown gave the green light for the project. Moreover, Gaye’s widow, actress Jan Gaye will serve as an executive producer.

Expected Film Release

The film will debut in 2023. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Gaye’s influential “What’s Going On” album. In fact, numerous individuals are fascinated by the singer’s early life, the conflicts with his father, and his love life. The film will delve into various personal aspects.

Clemens Embracing the Opportunity

Although Clemens is new to the performance wear game, he jumped at the opportunity to work in the category. The performance wear lane was one that Clemens hoped to explore. In addition, he agreed to his brand sponsoring the national team, which involves covering its food and traveling expenses.

Clemens told the New York Times that he was on board with designing the uniforms and being a sponsor almost right off the bat, as the sponsorship is the largest outside investment Telfar has made. So, we may not get the *Nsync reunion we all hoped for but fans still can see some of the members peform together with members from, once rivals, Backstreet Boys. Nick Carter and A.J. McClean join Joey Fatone, Lance Bass as they create a new group: Back-Sync. First, I think they could have come up with a better name: Street-sync, Sync-Boys, Boys n’sync. Anyway, I think better names were out there. Apparently, not much thought was giving to that part of the endeaver.

The new group came together to perform for Pride to benefit the Trevor Foundation. As a result, the frankengroup, Back Street was able to donate a whopping $1 million to the Trevor Foundation.

Backstreet Boys members AJ McLean and Nick Carter and *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and Lance Bass performed together for the first time on Friday, June 18 at Bingo Under the Stars. The event was to support Pride and the LGBTQIA+ community, which took place at The Grove Los Angeles.

They performed “I want it that way” and “Bye Bye Bye.” Needless to say, the choreography most likely will be less intense given BSB didn’t have as much intense choreography and the two members of *Nsync included in this frankengroup are not the most athletic and gifted dancers of the bunch. That’s not criticism but an observation of what may change with the group if they continue to perform outside of this one event. Back-Sync spoke to Entertainment tonight. Both groups’ members spoke about wanting to collaborate and bring exciting new songs.

Back-Sync: On Why They Never Collaborated Before

Obviously, in the 90s-2000s, fangirls were split and were either a Backstreet Boy fan or an *Nsync fan. However, it was more to do with the record company and people behind the scenes than the group themselves. Until, the groups began feeding into the rumor mill and taking what was said to heart. But, a couple of the members of both group were actually friends and lived close by. Looking back, they realize what was happening and moving forward they decided they could forge their own paths. Hense, Back-Sync was borrn.

“I still don’t get why we didn’t get a chance to do more together, but we found out it was managers and stuff happening behind the scenes that stopped it. It’s better late than never, right?”

“Back then there was no social media, there was none of that stuff,” McLean notes. “So, press and media then pitted us against each other because look, same label, same management for a brief period of time. And we’re all from Orlando. So, like, there was a lot of the parallels and we were very similar. Same producers. But there was still a difference between the two of us, you know? … I mean, there’s a mutual respect.”

How do they sound together?

“The dynamics are different when you mix-and-match different groups,” said Carter, “It’s exciting and fun because it brings out a whole other personality that you wouldn’t necessarily do in your own group.”

“It just fits,” added McLean. “Not that that the five of us [Backstreet Boys] don’t work because we obviously do, but it’s a different feeling. It’s like when you’ve been in the same relationship for a long time, take a break, meet somebody new and it’s fresh and exciting!”

Ciara has no problem showing the world what she is working with. The 35-year-old music and dance sensation announced the news along with a photo of herself wearing a tight leather ensemble.

The singer realizes the older that she gets, the harder it will be to achieve fitness goals.

“But my desire to achieve my fitness and wellness goals, I feel like it’s leveled up, to be honest,” she adds. “I feel even more empowered and motivated to achieve those goals because there’s really no better feeling for me personally than being able to get to that space.”

In addition to celebrating her weight loss success, the mother of three shared words of encouragement for other mothers trying to shed their unwanted extra pounds.

Among them, Lil Yachty shared his best memory of XXXtentacion through a series of old text messages exchanged between the two. Apparently, the pair loved each other’s music.

IDK Paving the Way for Youth

IDK is creating opportunities for youth. IDK’s No Label Academy, a 10-day program, will take place in August on the school’s campus in Boston. Most importantly, the program will help students start careers in the music industry. Also, applications became available this week and students who are accepted will receive free tuition.

“I created this program to show people in the BIPOC community that pursuing a career in the arts is more attainable than society portrays it to be,” IDK stated.

Brand Sponsorship with Nike, Others

IDK is partnering with Nike and other brands to launch the comprehensive program. Brian K. Price, clinical professor of law at Harvard Law School and director of the Transactional Law Clinics, accepted the invitation to serve as an adviser for the new program. Price is supporting the initiative“because education is key to launching and maintaining a successful enterprise.”

“If you want to pursue music as a business, you need to think and act like an entrepreneur. It’s crucial to have a solid understanding and know how to apply that knowledge. However, Tessica Brown’s hair experimentation went haywire after she accidently sprayed her hair with Gorilla Glue instead of Got2b Glue. Furthermore, Brown’s hair remained stationary for an entire month, before finally she decided to try and remove it herself.

The Louisiana native went viral after uploading videos of herself struggling to remove the “impenetrable helmet” with different products. Moreover, Brown used shampoos and oils to dissolve the Gorilla Glue from her hair. Additionally, the viral hair vlogger used all the ingredients necessary to remove the glue, such as acetone and isopropyl. When nothing worked, Brown reached out to medical practitioners. In February, Brown underwent a four-hour long surgery to remove the industrial strength glue.

Her surgeon, Dr. Michael Obeng, used medical-grade adhesive remover, aloe vera oil and even acetone to remove the glue. Unfortunately, Obeng wasn’t able to salvage much of Brown’s hair, leaving her nearly bald. The experience could’ve been traumatizing for any woman.

“Gorilla Glue Girl” Announces New Hair Care Line

Fortunately, Tessica Brown’s horrific experience with Gorilla Glue didn’t dissuade the hair vlogger from finding a cure to hair growth. While she may not have cracked the code, Brown did start her own hair care line. After losing most of her hair during the surgery, Brown began searching for a natural way to promote hair growth. Soon she partnered with industry professionals to create “a growth stimulating oil.”

Furthermore, the Louisiana native announced her new hair care line Forever Hair on Wednesday on CNN. Brown told the news publication that her new hair care line uses “all-natural ingredients” including pure avocado oil, rosemary and black castor oil. So far, her new product has been “a life saver.” Now Brown only hopes that Forever Hair will help those who struggle with hair regeneration.

Everyone loves a catchy song. Even artists themselves love the sound of their own music. Tory Lanez especially can’t get enough of his newest single “SKAT” featuring DaBaby. Like almost every rap song, though, two rappers alone isn’t enough to hype up a song. They need an entire army to take the song up a few notches. More importantly, they need a rap icon to up their game.

Unfortunately, Tory Lanez has fallen from HipHop grace after his drama with Megan Thee Stallion. Though, now the rap star seemingly might be trying to claw his way back into the spotlight by scoring a feature with a major emcee for his “SKAT” track. Now the star has petitioned for rap queen Nicki Minaj to hop on the song’s remix.

Of course, Nicki Minaj has gained her status as becoming one of the biggest rap stars in the game. Emcees and admirers have given her “flowers”, which she very well deserves. Furthermore, Tory Lanez certainly wants to hand Nicki Minaj her flowers. The rapper even petitioned to have her featured on his collab with DaBaby “SKAT.”

Moreover, Lanez has been teasing the release of the song for some time now. Now that it’s finally here, Lanez wants to keep the momentum going. After a Twitter user suggested Nicki Minaj hop on the track, the “Say It” rapper agreed. “If the queen hops on the Skat remix… it’s going to be insane! I mean, the song is already amazing… but it will go through the roof after that. And she would definitely kill the beat too! I was thrilled to see that she enjoyed the video! She’s more authentic than most people in our industry,” the star tweeted. If we didn’t know any better, Tory Lanez almost sounds like a super fan.

While Tory Lanez is over the moon about a possible collab with Nicki Minaj, fans have mixed feelings. Some of the fans took to Twitter to express their excitement over Lanez’s tweet. Others, however, didn’t seem all that thrilled about Lanez’s petition to collab with Nicki Minaj on the track.

In fact, some Twitter users threatened to cancel both the rap stars. One Twitter fan wrote, “If Nicki hop on a Tory song I might just have to cancel.” That’s pretty harsh. “Nicki doesn’t even f**k with Tory. I’ll never forget her snatching her verse back him,” another user wrote. People have a lot to say about Tory Lanez’s tweet. Now we’re left wondering what Nicki Minaj thinks about hopping on the “SKAT” remix.

Air Jordan, 1-Mid Style

First, Nike’s Air Jordan 1, mid. This sneaker features a “Crimson tint.” The design alters the colorblocking and offers variants for kids, opening up the palette. Larger sizes will also be available accomodating more consumers.

The colorway consists of pink that comes off salmon colored. Then, black and white finish up the rest of the leather paneling in the sneaker. The iconic black stamped air jordan logo appears and the jumpman jordan logo finishes off at the heel. The style is classic and clean. The shoe will retail for $115.

Nike’s Lebron 8, Low Style “Miami Nights”

Lebron’s 8 “Miami Nights” low style sneaker. The colorway consists of White, Red, Glass blue, and White inspired by the neon nights of south beach, Miami. Finished off with a confetti like speckling which could hint at Lebron’s successful championship run. Lines run at diagnals almost like spotlights or club lights articulating bringing that club scene style to the basketball sneaker.

Under, the sneaker continues in a bright red color tone and features a light blue lion insignia that pops in the middle of a triangle. The finishing touch of Lebron’s signature followed by a small nike swoop in miami red sets the sneaker into collector history. The shoe is very much designed and inspired with Miami, Florida in mind. The men’s sneaker will run $180.

Nike’s Air Force Ones

By all appearances there seems to be a safari animal print theme going on with the two Air Force Ones release. Collector’s love a series and this will be a collector favorite, no doubt about it. Let’s check out the two Air Force Ones sneaker releases further.

First, Daktari Striped Nike Air Force 1, Low style.

This sneaker drops with zebra-esque prints, though blotted in black and tinted in orange. Then, along the overlays all are assentuated in a bolder “Fuel Orange” suede. Accompanied with white leather and a brighter “Atomic Orange” Swooshes, gum pink bottoms finish underfoot. Ultimately, it appears a light orange to a bit darker than salmon. The Zebra prints are dressed up with the orange and create a less boring shoe. FInished off in black and orange inside, the bold sneaker makes quite the impression. These Air Forces will also run $130.

Second, Blue Leopard Patterned Nike Air Force 1

Nike’s Leopard patterned Air Force 1 sneaker is adorned in Leopard spots on the toe, heel, and lace collar overlay. The colorway consists of a pure platinum, black, particle grey and finished with light but bold blue. While, most of the sneaker is gray and platinum leopard, it is suplemented with a blue fury accent adorning the Swoosh logo. Also, the light, bold blue appears on the tongue and the heel. The inside is colored in Black and White contrasting the busier style design. Parts of the tongue and upper heel is also covered in a bit of black leather which grounds the busy style of the shoe. Undersole is seethrough clear/white rubber. Finally, upon release, the sneaker will run about $130.

Yeezy Orange Slides & “Dark Slate” Sneakers

Also, dropping today, Yeezy’ orange slides for summer release. Those will run from $35-$60 depending on size. While this isn’t a usual highlight compared to sneaker drops, Yeezy does have his “Dark Slate” sneakers dropping on the 25th. Those sneakers will run $200.
