HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — During an Aug. 5, 2026, Twitch IRL livestream on Hollywood Boulevard, a woman approached YouTuber and streamer Austin McBroom, grabbed his crotch without consent while he wore a full Spider-Man costume, and made a remark about his anatomy before walking away, according to the broadcast and video clips that later circulated online.
McBroom, 34, was streaming in the Walk of Fame area near the El Capitan Theatre. He was interacting with members of the public, posing for photographs with fans and children, and appearing in a positive mood. McBroom has regularly produced costume-based street content at the location for audience engagement.
Footage from the stream shows the woman walking up to him, saying words to the effect of “Hey, Spider-Man,” then reaching out and performing what has been described as a full palm grab of his genitals while commenting “Ohhh it’s big” or “Ooh, it’s big.” She left the scene as nearby pedestrians laughed.
McBroom’s immediate on-camera reaction included the statements: “What the fuck was that? You’re fucking with me, right? You guys knew her?” He later said, “Why everybody laughing? That shit was not funny. I got violated… That was a full crime.” He asked whether the encounter had been recorded, requested a moment to process the event, and then continued the stream.
Austin McKinley McBroom was born May 20, 1992, in the Los Angeles area. He previously played college basketball at Central Michigan University, Saint Louis University and Eastern Washington University. He later became widely known as a co-founder and central figure of The Ace Family YouTube channel alongside his then-wife, Catherine Paiz, and their children. The couple publicly announced their divorce in 2024. McBroom has continued producing content on YouTube, Instagram and Twitch, including boxing exhibitions and public street streams.
Unverified social media posts have identified the woman as Brandi Burr, a Los Angeles-based content creator originally from Boston, Massachusetts. Burr holds a degree in Communication Media Studies and Marketing from Plymouth State University and maintains profiles on Instagram, TikTok and OnlyFans that feature modeling and lifestyle material. Posts have also noted her prior appearances in content associated with boxer Adrien Broner and creator Deen the Great, both of whom have appeared in recent videos with McBroom. No independent confirmation of her identity in the clip or of any prior personal relationship with McBroom has been established.
The video gained rapid circulation after being shared by accounts that included DramaAlert. Online discussion divided between viewers who described the contact as unwanted sexual touching and those who questioned whether the sequence may have been staged for engagement. The latter pointed to McBroom’s established pattern of costume performances on Hollywood Boulevard, aspects of the camera framing, and the woman’s alleged links to overlapping streaming circles. McBroom presented the incident on the livestream as genuine and non-consensual.
As of Aug. 6, 2026, no public reports indicated that a police complaint had been filed or that a formal investigation was under way. Neither McBroom nor Burr had issued a detailed public statement beyond the comments made during the original stream.
