Arkansas Rapper Bic Fizzle Charged With First-Degree Murder After Failed Robbery

Arkansas rapper Bic Fizzle, who goes by the name Jeremiah Edrick Northern, is charged with murder in the first degree and aggravated robbery for a drug sale at a Jonesboro residence that ended in an attempted robbery that killed his 20-year-old partner on July 6, 2026.

On receiving a report of gunshots being fired, officers of the Jonesboro Police Department went to investigate on Fairview Drive at about 7:30 p.m., where they found Trayshon Crawford of Jonesboro dead from gunshot wounds. He was 20 years old, lying on the living room floor. A 26-year-old Elijah Bernard Johnson was found alive without any injuries. There were also marijuana plants in the kitchen.

According to the probable cause affidavit from Detective Andy Starnes, Northern and Crawford went to the home to buy marijuana. Johnson, who knew Northern previously, gave a pound to Northern in the kitchen. Crawford then allegedly pulled a gun and demanded “all of it.” Northern took the marijuana and left, closing the door. As Crawford tried to open it, Johnson grabbed a gun and shot Crawford. Johnson also fired at the fleeing silver BMW linked to Northern, which had bullet holes. Three young children were inside the home during the incident.

Northern, who is 23 years old, was arrested the following day and charged at the Craighead County Detention Center. On July 8th, Craighead County District Judge David Boling identified probable cause of Class Y Felonies of first-degree murder under felony murder rule in Arkansas, whereby the participants are held accountable for deaths during specified felonies such as robbery and aggravated robbery. The bond was placed at $750,000 either in cash or surety with GPS monitoring. The defendant’s next hearing is set to be on August 21.

Northern is assumed to be innocent until proven guilty. This is because of participation in the robbery attempt, thereby making Northern liable for the death of Crawford despite the fact that he never shot at Crawford. Johnson apparently acted in self-defense.

Born and raised in Blytheville, Arkansas, Northern began recording music at age 11 in his closet. He balanced high school football as quarterback at Blytheville High School with music, drawing influences from JAY-Z, YoungBoy NBA, Kendrick Lamar, and soul/R&B. He gained regional buzz with tracks like “Bandit” and “Supafly” with Cootie. In August 2021, at age 18, Gucci Mane signed him to The New 1017/Atlantic Records.

His releases included the 2021 single “Servin,” collaborations like “TrapMania” with Gucci Mane and Cootie, and 2023’s Clark Street Baby. He applied a football player’s work ethic to his career but is now described as formerly signed to the label.

The case highlights Arkansas’ felony murder statute, under which a death during an attempted robbery can lead to first-degree murder charges carrying up to life in prison.

This remains a developing story. Northern has not been convicted, and the investigation by Jonesboro Police and Craighead County authorities continues.
