Newly surfaced footage is offering the first on-camera look at Sean “Diddy” Combs inside FCI Fort Dix since his transfer to the New Jersey facility in late October. The clips, released by TMZ on Nov. 23, show the 55-year-old music mogul carrying out his assigned prison duties and interacting calmly with fellow inmates.
The short videos — filmed on the evening of Nov. 21, according to TMZ — capture Combs finishing his shift as a chaplain’s assistant in the prison’s media library, which operates out of the chapel. His daily responsibilities include distributing movies and religious materials to inmates, cleaning the office space, and assisting with basic record-keeping.
In the footage, Combs is seen organizing items on shelves and signing out for the night. He wears the standard gray prison-issued uniform, layered at first with a brown knit cap covering his graying hair, along with a scarf and blue jacket due to the chilly November weather. As his shift ends, he removes the extra layers.
Throughout the clips, Combs appears relaxed and at ease — smiling, chatting briefly with staff and fellow inmates, and moving through the facility with a calm demeanor. The new visuals contrast with earlier still photos from the prison yard, where he appeared more solemn or bundled tightly against the cold.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence following his October 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, violations of the Mann Act. He was acquitted on more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering—the time he has served since his September 2024 arrest counts toward the sentence.
His projected release date was initially set for May 8, 2028, but was extended to June 2028 after alleged rule violations earlier this month.
In early November, reports claimed Combs was found with homemade alcohol created from Fanta, sugar, and apples — an allegation his representative called “completely false.” However, sources close to Combs told TMZ the claims were “100 percent true.”
According to prison documents obtained by CBS News, Combs was also cited for participating in a prohibited three-way phone call on Nov. 3. During the conversation, he reportedly discussed contacting The New York Times and asked visitors to bring “200 singles,” despite cash being prohibited inside federal prisons.
Following the violations, officials recommended a 90-day suspension of both his phone and commissary privileges.
FCI Fort Dix — a low-security facility known for housing several high-profile inmates in the past — was reportedly requested by Combs’ team, and sources say he is adjusting better there. Access to commissary items has also helped ease daily routines, according to those familiar with his situation.
The newly released clips were shared widely across X (formerly Twitter), where users reacted with curiosity, surprise and skepticism. Posts featuring the footage quickly accumulated thousands of views. One user questioned TMZ’s access, writing, “How the f— did TMZ get video footage… HARVEY LEVIN running the damn CIA.” Others noted their disbelief at seeing Combs in such an ordinary prison setting, with one viral post reading, “Diddy chatting with fellow inmates… ain’t no way that’s him.”
Although Combs has faced disciplinary issues in his early weeks at Fort Dix, the new videos suggest he is settling into a routine and engaging amicably with those around him. His representative maintains that he is focused on self-improvement and reuniting with his family, while sources familiar with his day-to-day life say he appears to be keeping busy with his work assignments.
