50 Cent is starting 2026 by highlighting a major financial milestone that had nothing to do with music or film.
During his New Year’s Eve performances extending into early January, the rapper and entrepreneur revealed that his biggest moment of 2025 was receiving a sizable payout from an artificial intelligence investment.
The 36-second clip, shared on X, shows 50 Cent backstage at E11EVEN Miami, where he was performing as part of a packed New Year’s Eve schedule that also included appearances on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and Shreveport’s “Rock the Clock” celebration. When asked what stood out most in 2025, he didn’t hesitate.
“My biggest moment in 2025? The check I received… almost fell over!” he said. “It’s a big one, baby! But it had nothing to do with none of the stuff that y’all saw. It was an investment… in AI.”
Details surrounding the investment — including the company involved and the size of the return — have not been made public. Still, the moment underscores how 50 Cent continues to expand beyond traditional entertainment, particularly as artificial intelligence dominated global investment in 2025 and delivered significant returns across the tech sector.
The AI payout arrives during a historic year for the industry, as billions of dollars flowed into foundation model companies and emerging AI startups. The surge created new wealth at an unprecedented pace and positioned AI as one of the most lucrative investment areas of the year — a trend 50 Cent has openly embraced.
Looking ahead, the mogul confirmed that another major business venture will come into focus in 2026: G-Unit Film & Television Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In November 2025, 50 Cent finalized a 30-year lease on the Stageworks building in downtown Shreveport, formerly Millennium Studios, with an option to extend the agreement for an additional 15 years. The deal includes a nominal monthly rent of $200, with G-Unit Films & Television assuming full responsibility for operating and maintenance costs.
“I don’t think you can beat AI,” he said in earlier interviews. “I think you need to go with it.”
When the interviewer pivoted to the future, 50 Cent pointed to another major business play — this one firmly in the spotlight.
“Oh, 2026? My studios — they’ll be up and running,” he said. “I’m gonna get it going.”
The studio is scheduled to become fully operational in 2026 and will serve as both a home for G-Unit productions and a destination for outside film and television projects. According to G-Unit Films & Television COO Temple Williams, the studio is designed to operate as a sustainable business while generating long-term employment and economic activity in the region.
G-Unit Studios is expected to produce two reality series, one episodic television series and a feature film next year. The project is part of a broader push by 50 Cent to help establish Shreveport as a competitive production hub, supported by Louisiana’s film tax incentives, which have been preserved through 2031.
Beyond the studio, 50 Cent continues to expand his footprint in the city. His plans include the development of the G-Dome, an arena-style entertainment venue inspired by the Las Vegas Sphere, and the return of his Humor & Harmony comedy festival in 2026. In 2025, he also launched “50 Cent Action,” a free ad-supported streaming channel in partnership with Roku and LG, and is developing a premium television adaptation of Paid in Full through G-Unit Studios.
