He’s done everything from making racist comments toward the Black Lives Movement to predicting his win in the 2024 presidential election. Not to mention, his shenanigans have made him lose out on a lot of endorsement deals, fashion contracts with Adidas and even been banned from banks.
While Ye has been in and out of the media, his kids have started making headlines this weekend. Recently, him and Kim K.’s four children dressed up as 90’s HipHop icons for this upcoming Halloween.
The Kids Pay Homage To 90s HipHop Icons
Dressing up as celebrities has become a cultural phenomenon during Halloween season. Recently, Lizzo dressed up as Blueface’s girlfriend Chrisean Rock ahead of the holiday. Now it seems that Kim K. and Ye’s kids have hopped on the bandwagon.
This past Saturday, the mother of four shared a series of photos to Instagram of her children dressed as 90s HipHop stars. Furthermore, the professional looking pics show Ye’s eldest daughter, 9-year-old North West, dressed as Aaliyah. West recreated the HipHop Princess’s 1996 Tommy Hilfiger Jeans campaign as she was dressed in the iconic tube top and wide leg jeans. Additionally, her younger siblings Psalm West, Chicago West and Saint West dressed as Eazy-E, Sade and Snoop Dogg for Halloween.
Furthermore, stars like Snoop Dogg appreciated the homage and reposted the cute photos on their social media pages.
At least Ye’s are in the media for the right reasons.
Social Media Explodes Over Their 90s HipHop Homage
Of course, Ye and Kim K.’s kids tried to pay homage to 90s HipHop icons. Though, the gesture didn’t feel genuine to many fans. In fact, some have suggested that the photo shoot was nothing but a publicity stunt. Others commented by asking why anyone would care in the first place. Arguably, it’s sad that Ye’s kids have to pay for his mistakes. Hopefully, Ye will someday see how his behavior in the media affects the lives of his children and family.
