Two Year Vacation Release New Single: “High Hopes, Low Expectations”

Swedish band Two Year Vacation has released a new single from their upcoming EP, “High Hopes, Low Expectations.” The title track perfectly summarizes the band’s philosophy of being optimistic realists. With catchy rhythmic beats. Flavorful melodies, and feel-good vibrations, the song explores the possibility of hoping for the best but expecting mediocrity.

The band spent the summer of 2021 in the Swedish wilderness, recording the EP at the legendary Silence Studios. The natural beauty of the environment and the presence of music legends who had indulged in it before inspired the band to create something truly magical.

Two Year Vacation’s music is a fascinating blend of Italo disco, rock, and Caribbean kraut. The band draws inspiration from trivial daily routines and dreams to create music that drives out all stale senses of the mundane.

“High Hopes, Low Expectations” is a severe and non-serious take on self-improvement and principles, questioning whether having high hopes and low expectations is possible. The single is out now, with the EP set to release on May 20th on the Clouds Hill label.
