A 21-year-old Brazilian social media influencer was executed in the early hours of Wednesday, September 16, 2026, after armed men dragged her from a residence and shot her repeatedly on the sidewalk in front of her father.
Evelyn Lima Dantas (also identified as Evellyn Dantas Lima), a content creator from Mãe do Rio in northeastern Pará state, was killed around 3:30 a.m. local time. According to police reports and her father’s account, at least two men arrived by car, forced their way into a house on Rua Bernardo Ferreira de Oliveira in the São Francisco neighborhood, and ordered her father to the ground. They then dragged Dantas outside onto the pavement and opened fire multiple times. Before fleeing, the attackers spray-painted the letters “TCP” — associated with the Rio de Janeiro-based criminal faction Terceiro Comando Puro (Pure Third Command) — on the front of the property.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Military Police responded shortly after 3:57 a.m. and found Dantas’s body on the sidewalk covered by a sheet. Surveillance footage reportedly showed a vehicle stopping outside the home and individuals entering. Civil Police are leading the investigation. No arrests had been announced in initial reporting.
Dantas had been free for only about a week. She was granted provisional release on or around September 9 after being held in preventive detention. Authorities had arrested her in late July during a multi-agency operation investigating the July 29 murder of retired Military Police sergeant AntĂ´nio Anildo Alves da Silva, 56. Alves, a former municipal guard commander, was shot dead by four hooded gunmen who fired from a vehicle outside a supermarket in the same town.
Investigators suspected Dantas of providing logistical support for the attack. During the July operations in Mãe do Rio and nearby Paragominas, she was also detained on drug-trafficking suspicions after officers reportedly found portions of marijuana and cocaine along with two firearm magazine loaders. The broader probe resulted in several arrests, the deaths of multiple suspects in confrontations, and seizures of weapons, ammunition, and drugs. Dantas had not been convicted in connection with the sergeant’s killing.
A resident of Mãe do Rio, Dantas shared lifestyle content including travel, beauty and makeup videos, fitness, and everyday moments with family and friends. Brazilian reports cited roughly 20,000–24,000 followers on one platform; some international accounts put her combined following across TikTok and Instagram above 140,000–150,000. Her social media profiles became inactive or were deactivated around the time of her death.
Police are examining whether Dantas’s killing is connected to the sergeant’s murder or to organized crime. The “TCP” graffiti has drawn attention, though authorities have not confirmed any faction’s involvement. The investigation into both deaths remains open.
