The Winner of the $2.04 Billion Powerball Prize Moves to a Mansion in Hollywood

The $2.04 billion Powerball prize winner has bought a mansion in Hollywood to live in after winning the record-breaking jackpot. This home is nestled in the tranquil foothills of Los Angeles County, occupying a sprawling 15,000-square-foot lot and situated in a prestigious neighborhood, graced by the presence of renowned celebrities like Jimmy Kimmel, Ariana Grande, and Dakota Johnson.

The mansion has a cinema, gym, wine cellar, and sauna as well as two garages big enough to fit seven cars, according to TMZ. It’s also behind the iconic Chateau Marmont, home to stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie.

Castro, reportedly in his early 30s, has been trying to keep his identity secret since winning the lottery. Californian law dictates that any lottery winner must be named – but Castro has chosen to remain private. After his win, he was pictured at a news conference but declined an invitation from lottery officials to be photographed outside the drawing room.

He also chose to claim a lump sum rather than 30 annual payments, which would have made him a millionaire in a matter of months. Becker said he did not want a waiting period before he could claim his prize to wait for the lottery’s 30-ye.

But that’s not all he’s done with his winnings. He’s also helped public schools receive over $150 million in supplemental funding, according to a statement from the lottery.

As for the house, Castro’s new property is a three-story mansion in the Hollywood Hills full of amenities. The house features an infinity pool, movie theater and sauna. It also has an outdoor kitchen, a game room, and a gym.

He bought the home last month for a cool $4.5 million less than 30 days after winning, real estate publication Dirt reports. It’s a 15,000-square-foot property that sits on a 0.58-acre lot in the foothills of the Hollywood Hills.

The residence features a double-height glass stairwell, providing breathtaking city views. Moreover, the residence boasts a fitness studio, along with hot and cold plunge pools, a dry sauna, and a steam shower, all thoughtfully designed for your comfort and enjoyment.

Another important feature of the property is a three-story guest house that sits on its own 1.35-acre lot. This is the place where friends and family can stay if they come to visit.

A garage in the backyard is large enough to accommodate 7 cars. A separate motor court in front of the house can handle several more vehicles.

This home is a true mansion and comes with everything you could possibly want, all on a beautiful 0.58-acre lot in the foothills in Los Angeles.
