A body positivity influencer known as Xio the Dreamer filmed herself reclining on a sofa and declaring “TEXAS TURNED BLUE!!!” with blue heart emojis on the morning after Democrats swept statewide offices in Texas for the first time in more than three decades.
The short video, shared widely by conservative commentator Oli London on X, shows Xiomara, who posts as @xiothedreamer, lying back in a light green tank top in a living room setting. She smiles, moves her mouth as if singing or reacting, and holds the camera at an angle that captures her body while the text “TEXAS TURNED BLUE!!!” stays fixed on screen. London’s post on November 4, 2026, framed the clip as the influencer celebrating Democratic victories while displaying her body.
The results that prompted the post were historic. State Representative Gina Hinojosa defeated three-term Republican Governor Greg Abbott, becoming the first Latina and the first Democrat elected governor of Texas since Ann Richards in 1990. James Talarico won the U.S. Senate seat over Attorney General Ken Paxton. Democrats also claimed the lieutenant governor’s office, attorney general, and several other statewide posts, ending a streak in which no Democrat had won statewide office since 1994. Coverage from the Dallas Observer and national outlets described the night as a “bluenami” that reversed long Republican dominance.
Xiomara is a 30- or 31-year-old Latina content creator of Mexican and Salvadoran heritage, born and raised in California. She is currently in Arizona and has described herself as living in a skilled nursing facility. Her social media presence, which includes hundreds of thousands of followers across TikTok and Instagram, centers on plus-size lifestyle content, mukbangs, recovery updates, and personal storytelling. She has openly discussed serious health setbacks, including a near-death experience in which her blood oxygen dropped to 58 percent, multiple intubations, drop foot, and ongoing physical therapy. In posts she has marked the anniversary of being pulled from a stretcher in Las Vegas and later filmed herself doing squats in rehab.
The video was not filmed in Texas. Xiomara’s recent content and bios place her in Arizona at the time of the election. Her reaction therefore arrived from outside the state whose results she celebrated. London, the author of the book Gender Madness and a frequent critic of progressive social messaging, presented the clip as an example of body-positivity content intersecting with political celebration. Replies to his post included mocking comments about her weight and lifestyle, a pattern that has followed some of her earlier posts as well.
Hinojosa, a five-term state representative from Austin who previously served on the Austin ISD board, campaigned on education funding, affordability, and opposition to data-center expansion in drought-prone areas. Abbott, who had been seeking a fourth term and would have become the state’s longest-serving governor, conceded after the race was called. Talarico, also an Austin-area state representative and former teacher, defeated Paxton in the Senate contest. Together the outcomes marked the clearest statewide Democratic gains in Texas in a generation, driven in part by Latino voter shifts and dissatisfaction with national Republican priorities.
Xiomara’s account does not primarily focus on electoral politics. Most of her output documents daily life, food, mobility challenges, and recovery milestones. The Texas video stands out because it briefly merged that personal content style with a national political moment. London’s decision to amplify it highlighted the contrast between the scale of the electoral shift and the intimate, body-focused framing of one online reaction.
As of November 4, 2026, official certification of the Texas results was still pending in some races, but major outlets had already projected the key Democratic wins. Xiomara had not issued a longer statement beyond the video. The clip and London’s post together captured one early, highly visual response to a night that rewrote Texas political maps.
