“That’s My Girl”: Wendell Carter Jr. Officially Addresses Angel Reese Dating Rumors

Wendell Carter Jr. and Angel Reese are officially a couple.

The Orlando Magic center confirmed his relationship with the Chicago Sky forward during an appearance on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back this week, putting an end to months of fan speculation surrounding the pair’s connection.

When co-host Chandler Parsons asked Carter Jr. about the ongoing rumors, the NBA star smiled before offering a candid response.

“That’s the homie for sure. We’re locked in,” he said. He then added, “Y’all going to find out when y’all need to find out. That’s my girl though. We locked in for sure.”

The moment quickly became one of the most shared clips from the episode, circulating widely on social media as fans celebrated the confirmation.

Rumors about the couple first began early in 2025, when Carter Jr. attended Reese’s 23rd birthday celebration in May. Later that summer, the two were spotted sitting together at UFC 319 in Chicago — a sighting that went viral and accelerated dating speculation online.

The hints continued throughout the year. During the WNBA All-Star Game in July, Carter Jr. was seen wearing a shirt printed with Reese’s photo, and the pair posed for pictures together. Around the same time, Reese shared a TikTok featuring roses and Hermès boxes from a “special someone,” which fans widely believed referenced Carter Jr.

More recently, Reese has supported the Magic star from the sidelines, attending multiple Orlando games and sharing photos of herself wearing team gear. She also reposted one of Carter Jr.’s highlight dunks with a collage labeling him her “boo,” further fueling the conversation.

Reese, 23, has quickly become one of the most prominent young athletes in the country. The Chicago Sky star has led the WNBA in rebounding for two straight seasons and made headlines in 2024 when she became a Victoria’s Secret model. On her podcast, she previously shared that her ideal partner would be tall — around “6’7″ or 6’8” — and a professional basketball player, a description many fans believe pointed to Carter Jr.
