    Tech Executive, Bob Lee Reported Dead Tuesday

    A tech exec who was involved with Cash App Square and died after being stabbed in San Francisco early Tuesday has been identified. Bob Lee, 43, was found unconscious on the ground with two stab wounds in his chest near Rincon Hill. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
    Tributes to Lee began to pour in on social media late Tuesday, with many people describing him as “generous decent human being” who didn’t deserve to be killed. One tweet from CEO of Abra Bill Barhydt read: “Bob was a dad, the former CTO of Square where he created Cash App & CTO of Mobile Coin, he was a generous decent human being who didn’t deserve to be killed.”
    The murder investigation is underway but no arrests have been made yet.
    A man stabbed to death near downtown San Francisco early Tuesday morning has been identified as Bob Lee, a tech exec who was involved with Cash app Square and helped create Android. Around 2:35 a.m., authorities were mobilized to the 300 block of Main Street in reaction to the incident.
    Renowned across the tech landscape, Lee held a prominent position as a highly regarded tech executive. His most recent role was as the chief product officer at the cryptocurrency startup MobileCoin.He had started Cash App and previously served as the chief technology officer of Square, according to his LinkedIn page.
    Lee was a dynamo, the quintessential creator, leader and consummate hacker, from large contributions to Android at Google to being the first CTO of Square and helping birth Cash App into our world. His impact will be felt far beyond the short time he was on this planet.
