After dropping her latest album, Midnights, in December of 2022, Taylor Swift has kept her fans guessing about what she’ll do next. The singer-songwriter embarked on a rerecording mission in 2019. After her original label, Big Machine Records, sold the masters to music manager Scooter Braun.
Taylor Swift’s Upcoming Album
This allowed Taylor to reclaim ownership of her original recordings and rerecord them. She has since released two albums with the rerecorded version of her songs, Fearless and Red, both of which broke records for sales and streaming.
Swift’s third rerecorded album, Speak Now, dropped on Friday, July 7. The 22-song set included six tracks that were described as “from the vault” and features collaborations with Fall Out Boy and Paramore. The project also set a record for the most streamed album in a single day for a female artist.
Swift’s impatient fans expressed their strong desire to hear new music from her. She recently went on Kimmel and addressed the rumors that a third secret studio album was on its way. She claims the album would likely be a compilation of singles she already released over the year.
It would make sense for Taylor to release a new compilation in the middle of her Reputation tour. Artists often release new content in the middle of their tour. She also revealed that she’s adding a few new songs to her setlist for the tour.
