Divorce Threats Fly
After an argument, Love & Hip Hop: New York stars Safaree and Erica Mena vented on Twitter; however, the tweets have since been deleted.
“Marriage was a huge mistake, and I genuinely regret it. I won’t make that mistake again. I’m choosing to walk away before I risk ending up in jail over something trivial. My freedom is invaluable, and no one is worth jeopardizing it!”
Furthermore, Erica Mena immediately clapped back.
“Since you always resort to social media like a child, I might as well join in. I fully agree with you on this. You are incredibly self-centered, obsessed with your appearance, and lack consideration. And it’s not just towards me but also towards your own daughter!”

Following news of their divorce threats, Safaree took to Instagram to make the special announcement.
“Safire got a new sibling,” Safaree captioned a maternity photo on Instagram. “Who’s the new baby? #2under2, time for me to get fixed. Now I just need a cook and a babysitter.” In the comment section, Mena added, “Get ready!!!! Any day now.”
Then Erica Mena shared a series of pregnancy photos to her own Instagram account and defended their choice to stay together.
“Marriage isn’t easy,” she wrote in one caption. “But having my own family makes it all worthwhile. Thank you, God, for your protection and constant blessings. I’ve been through so much, and I’m truly grateful.”
She continued, “More Life. Who wants that perfect love story anyway.”
Flashback to The Couple’s First Pregnancy Reveal
In 2019 Samuels and Mena announced their first pregnancy before getting married in October of that year.
“Wow, wow, it’s a big deal! Very big deal. I didn’t know I was capable of doing this. I’m excited!” Safaree said in a video of their pregnancy reveal. “I’m nervous. I’m in shock. I’m in disbelief. It’s very surreal to me. I don’t know what to do but I know I’m going to be great at what I do, because I’m great at everything.”
