Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr., a Chicago-based record producer and a central figure in a separate civil lawsuit against Sean Combs, has emerged as a vocal critic in the aftermath of the trial. In an interview on ”The Benny Show”, Lil Rod asserted that the verdict represented only a partial step toward full accountability.
“It’s a win-win,” Lil Rod said in THE interview. “Sean Combs has for over three decades been able to escape and not answer to any crimes that he’s done. He’s now a two-time felon. He’s a sex offender. And the fight is not over.”
According to Lil Rod, significant evidence remains unpresented in court, and he claims new charges could soon follow.
“I’m hearing that there might be more charges coming to him. And also, I personally know that there are a lot of evidence that they did not bring to this case. So I’m hearing that they’re talking about bringing more charges on later.So I trust the justice system. I think we just need to wait and see what this team is going to do, despite what everybody else is thinking. There are a lot of lawsuits against Diddy out right now.”

While no official confirmation of additional charges has been made, Lil Rod’s assertions—echoed widely online—underscore the heightened public scrutiny surrounding the case. Lil Rod’s claims stem in part from his own civil lawsuit against Diddy, filed in 2024. The 105-page federal complaint alleges that Combs sexually harassed, drugged, and coerced Jones into illegal acts, including procuring drugs and prostitutes. Originally seeking $30 million in damages, Lil Rod’s suit also alleged participation in a broader sex-trafficking enterprise.
In March 2025, a New York judge dismissed several racketeering charges from that lawsuit but allowed key sexual assault and trafficking claims to proceed, keeping Diddy entangled in legal battles.
Diddy’s recent criminal trial—which concluded just two days ago—produced a complex verdict. Though the prosecution failed to convince jurors of the more explosive racketeering and trafficking allegations, the guilty verdict on two prostitution-related counts solidified his status as a convicted felon. Denied bail, Combs remains in federal custody pending his sentencing this fall.
Lil Rod, who collaborated closely with Combs for over a year and produced nine tracks on Diddy’s 2023 album The Love Album: Off the Grid, originally launched a modest GoFundMe campaign seeking $50,000 to support legal fees. Though he raised just under $5,000, the case quickly snowballed into one of the most prominent legal challenges the hip-hop mogul has ever faced.
Beyond the lawsuit’s lurid claims, it also alleges financial improprieties, including that Combs withheld more than $50,000 owed to Lil Rod for production work. The allegations paint a portrait of a toxic and exploitative environment within Diddy’s music empire.
