A New York rapper who spent years bragging about street money and flashy living is now locked up in federal jail, accused of turning a 16-year-old girl into a human ATM across state lines.
Jimmy Francois, aged 37, also known as Bentley Bugz, was hit with a six-count federal indictment on March 6, 2026, for Eastern District New York charges. He is accused of using force, threats, and coercion to traffic the underage girl. He is charged with sex trafficking of a minor, conspiracy, enticing a minor to cross state lines, and two counts of producing child sex abuse images and interstate prostitution.
The guy was born October 10, 1988, in Brooklyn’s Canarsie section. Haitian roots, raised out in Elmont on Long Island. He started rapping as a kid and dropped tracks and videos in the early 2020s under the Bentley Bugz name typical New York drill/trap stuff, all about stacking cash, burying the competition, and living that big life.

There’s this short 11-second clip that’s been blowing up everywhere. He’s in designer street clothes, staring dead at the camera, probably in a studio or the passenger seat of a whip, spitting bars about getting money and flexing on haters. That was the image he sold the successful street dude.
Court papers paint a completely different picture.
Prosecutors say between June and August 2024, Francois picked up, moved, and kept control of a 16-year-old girl they’re calling Jane Doe. He allegedly forced her to have sex with paying clients every day, sometimes in New York City, sometimes in other states. He posted her ads online, pocketed the cash, and made sure she kept working. Investigators pulled videos straight off his iCloud. In one, he’s beating her and yelling,
“I will personally break your bones.”
He’s also accused of filming and distributing explicit material of her and slapping some of those clips right into the prostitution ads dates like June 27 and July 4, 2024. Witnesses say he kept her in line by beating other women in front of her so she’d understand what could happen.
The whole thing began with tips to federal agents. Homeland Security Investigations in New York took point, working in conjunction with U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, and other agencies. Francois was picked up January 29, 2026, in Miami, shipped back to Brooklyn, and formally charged on March 6. He’s been in jail without bail after entering a not guilty plea.
The prosecutor, Joseph Nocella Jr., didn’t mince words:
“The defendant exploited a helpless child and sold her body for his own profit, all while physically abusing her and threatening her… Francois is being held accountable for his inhumane and depraved acts.”
The acting special agent in charge HSI New York, Michael Alfonso, called it
“depravity in its most vile form,”
saying the guy hid years of threats and abuse behind a fake image of power and luxury.
A Twitter thread from @dom_lucre on March 9 went mega-viral. He dropped that same 11-second flex clip right next to the indictment details, and the replies exploded. People are connecting it to the whole “pimp culture” talk that’s been going on in hip-hop for years, asking why the industry keeps giving these dudes a pass.
If convicted on the main sex-trafficking charge, he’s looking at a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to life. Trial date hasn’t been set yet. Like everyone else, he’s innocent until proven guilty in court.
This case has a lot of people talking again about how big the child sex-trafficking problem really is. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children says they see more than 17,000 cases a year. Feds say this one shows how easy it is for these networks to hide in plain sight online ads, interstate travel, and a rapper playing the successful businessman on social media while running something evil behind the scenes.
