Nicki Minaj has asked a New York judge to dismiss portions of a lawsuit filed by a live event production company seeking more than $275,000 in alleged unreimbursed expenses tied to her December 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball performances and Pink Friday 2 album launch events.
According to court filings, 24/7 Productions (USA) Inc. filed the complaint in New York Supreme Court in March 2026 against both Minaj (born Onika Tanya Maraj) personally and her company, Pink Friday Productions LLC. The production firm claims it provided advance planning, on-site management, staffing, audio, lighting, rigging, transportation and logistics services for the shows — costs it says were pre-approved by Minaj’s team but never fully repaid despite repeated requests over nearly two years.
The suit seeks approximately $275,149.62 plus interest, costs and fees. 24/7 Productions previously worked with Minaj on her 2022 MTV Video Music Awards production and alleges it fronted more than $255,000 in expenses for the 2023 engagements. The company claims Minaj’s side generated substantial revenue from the events, including around $650,000 from the Jingle Ball dates alone, according to reports citing the complaint.
The complaint includes claims of breach of contract and unjust enrichment, among others.
Minaj and Pink Friday Productions retained the firm Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP to handle the matter. In mid-July, the defendants filed a Verified Answer denying the bulk of the allegations and raising multiple affirmative defenses. They also submitted a motion to dismiss the claims brought against Minaj individually.
In the motion, Minaj’s legal team argues that she never personally entered into any agreements with 24/7 Productions — all contracts were with her LLC — and that naming her personally is an improper attempt to reach her individual assets. A hearing on the motion is currently scheduled for Aug. 3.
The case against Pink Friday Productions LLC continues.
This development mirrors warnings in a separate ongoing lawsuit Minaj faces from the law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP, which is seeking around $230,000 in unpaid legal fees from her defense in a prior copyright case. That matter has also seen judicial warnings regarding potential default judgment.
Minaj has dealt with other financial judgments in the past, including a roughly $500,000 case that was reportedly resolved.
As of now, the production services dispute remains active and contested in court, with no final judgment issued. The case could proceed to further litigation, settlement talks or be narrowed depending on the outcome of the upcoming motion hearing.
