Filming of the movie will start from this September, and now you know what to add to your schedule as we go back into the gloomy and glamorous world of Peaky Blinders. Do you recall when Murphy repeatedly emphasized the importance of a solid script? Don’t worry; all of that waiting appears to have paid off.
The story is set to explore the events of the Second World War. This is a completely new battlefield for Peaky Blinders, and it will be interesting to see what the Shelbys do the challenges and opportunities of such a turbulent period. After all, will they seize the anarchy and lawlessness the war gives rise to and turn it to their advantage? Or will they find themselves caught in some dangerous political web? The possibilities are endless!
Filming will take place at Digbeth studios and on location in Birmingham as the writers and producers bring the world of Peaky Blinders to life once again. Unfortunately, we don’t yet have a release date. What we can say for sure, though, is that the wait will be almost over-the-top fun. After all, the wild fan ideas are already swirling. Does Tommy find redemption at last? Does the family survive? . . . Keep an eye out, fans!
