Minaj has a large queer fanbase, who would not be able to travel to the country for the tournament safely. Barbies sounded off on social media after the rapper snubbed from the Netflix documentary Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop. The mini trailer showcased a montage of high-profile rappers. Including Cardi B, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Sha-Rock, Roxanne Shante, Remy Ma, Yo-Yo, and more.
However, fans were confused why the 40-year-old star was nowhere to be seen. Katy Perry’s song “Dark Horse” features a line referencing serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The reference has ignited a backlash on Twitter, with many users not happy with the mention. Especially in light of the recent release of the new Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
