The shaky bystander video, posted June 12, 2026, captures a tense roadside police stop in Cidade Ocidental, near Brasília in Brazil’s Goiás state, on the morning of June 11.
A figure appears on screen, feet unshod, dressed in pale trousers and a short-sleeved upper garment, motionless near a parked bike. Around her, law enforcement personnel clad in combat-style uniforms form a perimeter, firearms visible but unused. Her hand moves beneath fabric, emerging moments later with a metallic object compact, dark-hued, identifiable as a semi-automatic handgun. Two cartridges are chambered inside. Police from the Goiás Military Police (PMGO), including the 33º BPM, stopped the couple on a motorcycle after receiving a tip about an armed pair traveling in the area, with some reports noting possible drug trafficking suspicions. The woman, the passenger, removed the loaded Taurus PT92 herself before a full search. Her companion, the driver, reportedly lacked a valid driver’s license (CNH), became insubordinate by disrespecting officers (desacato), and claimed they were searching for a man who had robbed his mother.
Both were taken to the 5ª Delegacia Regional de Polícia in Cidade Ocidental. The woman faces charges for illegal firearm possession. The man was detained for driving without a license and insubordination. Officers seized the motorcycle and the pistol, which was sent for ballistics and forensic testing. Identities have not been publicly released.
