Masego has been making waves with his recent release “King’s Rant” and the RIAA Gold Certification of his global hit “Tadow.” His NPR Music Tiny Desk session, which has surpassed five million views, showcases his saxophone skills and includes energetic performances of his popular tracks like “Tadow” and “Queen Tings,” highlighting his natural talent and bringing an element of fun to the set.
Masego is a multi-talented artist known for his unique blend of singing, rapping, songwriting, comedy, production, and DJing. He combines all these skills to create his own genre called “TrapHouseJazz.” With a global presence, Masego has shared the stage with renowned artists like Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, J. Cole, Ari Lennox, and more. His debut album, Lady Lady, made its mark on various Billboard charts, including Top New Artist Albums Consumption, R&B Album Sales, Heatseekers Albums, and R&B/Hip Hop Album Sales. The album featured collaborations with SiR, FKJ, Tiffany Gouche, Kehlani, and De’Wayne Jackson. Masego, born in Jamaica, adopted his stage name, which means “Blessing” and “Prosperity” in the Tswana language, paying homage to his South African heritage.
