Nara Smith Shares Heartbreaking News of 2-Year-Old Daughter’s Cancer

Nara Smith has publicly revealed that her youngest daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer late last year.

In an emotional Instagram Reel posted Tuesday, the model and influencer, married to fellow model Lucky Blue Smith, detailed the family’s private journey since the diagnosis. The couple, parents to four young children, had largely stepped away from social media in recent months to focus on Whimsy’s treatment.

According to Smith, the family initially noticed something concerning with the 2-year-old and brought her to the emergency room. When ER staff were unsure of the issue, they consulted their pediatrician. Smith recalled the doctor growing “really quiet and calm,” prompting her immediate concern.

“My first thought was that Whimsy had cancer,” she said, describing it as either “mom’s intuition” or a gut feeling.

The family was referred to a children’s hospital, where Whimsy underwent X-rays, ultrasounds and a biopsy. Doctors confirmed the cancer had already spread and recommended starting chemotherapy immediately.

Smith has not shared the specific type of cancer or further details on the stage or prognosis, keeping the focus on the emotional impact. Whimsy has been undergoing treatment for several months, with the family spending extensive time at the hospital.

Nara, 24, and Lucky Blue Smith, 28, are also parents to Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 4, and Fawnie Golden, who was born in September 2025. Lucky additionally shares daughter Gravity from a previous relationship.

In her video, Smith described the immense challenge of managing the crisis while postpartum and caring for their other children. “Some days are a little easier, some days are really hard,” she said. “All I can do is try my best.”

The family kept the news private initially to prioritize Whimsy’s care. Smith noted finding solace in conversations with other parents at the hospital and in online communities, which helped combat feelings of loneliness. By sharing now, she hopes to offer comfort to others in similar situations and encourage prompt medical attention for any worrisome symptoms.

The couple expressed gratitude to the medical team and asked for privacy as they continue supporting Whimsy’s recovery.

The announcement has drawn an outpouring of support across social media for the Smith family, whose content often centers on homemaking, family life and Nara’s signature “trad wife” aesthetic.
