And the undisputed Queen of Pop shows she’s still got it in a new racy photo shared on her Instagram. How is she doing?
Madonna Hospitalized For Serious Bacterial Infection
On June 28, the singer, 64, posed in a skimpy black and red one-piece for pictures that bared her chest and back. She paired the sexy ensemble with black stiletto boots and a lace bra top, with the bra peeking through the bottom of her skirt. She finished the look with a pair of dark sunglasses and a white purse hanging from her shoulder.
What caused the medical emergency to land Madonna in the hospital is unclear. Her manager Guy Oseary confirmed that the Material Girl is home. She currently fights to recover from a severe bacterial infection. Luckily Madonna expects to make a full recovery. He added that the celebration for her 40-plus year career that was set to kick off in Vancouver on July 15 had been put on hold for now. Oseary said a new start date and rescheduled shows will be announced soon.
The news comes after Madonna recently went out and about in her neighborhood and at a shopping center. The Material Girl also recently shared photos of herself at her estate in Trevignano, Italy, where she’s been spending some time. She surrounds herself with friends and family as she rests before the start of her tour.

Madonna, who has eight children, celebrated the oldest one’s 22nd birthday recently. She and her younger siblings posed with the family dog. Along with some glammed-up guests in matching pink dresses from Jean Paul Gaultier. Her son starred in his mother’s Bitch I’m Madonna music video. He even modeled for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty line and brands like Burberry and Marc Jacobs.
The icon also has a new love in her life in the form of actor Josh Popper, whom she married in 2022. They welcomed a baby boy in October 2022. She’s an active philanthropist and founded her Raising Malawi charity in 2005 after visiting the country on a humanitarian trip that helped improve living conditions for orphans.
Earlier this month, Madonna shared a gallery of behind-the-scenes photos on her Instagram while getting ready to perform on her Celebration tour. The tour, a four-decades-spanning greatest hits show, was to have kicked off in Vancouver on July 15 and run through December with 35 shows in cities across North America and Europe. During the tour, Madonna would have performed with Bob the Drag Queen as her special guest in every city.
