Celebs Stun At The VMAs 2022 Red Carpet
If you tuned in to the MTV Video Music Awards coverage last night then you definitely saw Lil Nas X’s red carpet look. Among the various fashion looks at the 2022 VMAs, one particular artist stood out. That was Lil Nas X (Montero), who towered over everyone at the 2022 VMAs in his bold all-black ensemble. However, Lil Nas wasn’t the only celebrity who served looks last night! Lizzo, Shenseea, Doechii, Anitta, Monet X Change, Cyn Santana, Khalid, and Bob The Drag Queen, slayed the VMAs red carpet.
Lil Nas X
Of course, the most memorable look of the night goes to Lil Nas X. His all-black ensemble was somewhat reminiscent of a past Met Gala look worn by Iman at the 2021 Met Gala. The singer took home an award for Best Collaboration for his “Industry Baby” track with Jack Harlow.
Lizzo
Like Lil Nas X, Lizzo always serves with her red carpet looks. Lizzo showed up to the 2022 VMAs in a dark-blue Jean Paul Gaultier ensemble. She matched her lip color to the dress color and paired it with matching gloves. Following her recent album release, Lizzo is not slowing down! The singer took home a VMA under the Video for Good category for her song “About Damn Time”.
Shenseea
Shenseea or Chinsea Lee, displayed a shiny look at the VMAs. The artist wore a light colored jean dress with small, mirrored circles attached to it; she paired it with white platform heels. The artist, known for her song “Blessed”, was nominated at this year’s VMAs for the first time under the Push Performance of the Year category.
Doechii
Doechii or Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon,slayed at this year’s VMAs wearing an all-black leather look. The artist was on full display and even showed off her black grill set. Doechii was nominated for Push Performance of the Year for “Persuasive.”
Anitta
Anitta stunned the red carpet with an all-red asymmetrical look. According to Harper’s Bazar, Anitta made history last night as the first Brazilian to win an American MTV award. Anitta definitely dressed for success!
Monet X Change
Monet X Change hit the red carpet last night in a flower themed look. The American Drag Queen and Singer wore a white crop top in the shape of a flower and salmon-colored bell bottoms with lime-green heels.
Cyn Santana
Cyn Santana wore an orange trench coat with a mini dress and high black open-toed boots to the VMAs last night. The look brought even more vivid color to the event. Moreover, the independent artist was accompanied by Johnathan Fernandaz.
Khalid
Khalid wore a simple look to this year’s VMAs. The singer wore a pink and yellow light-weight top paired with purple pants. Khalid’s song “Numb” was nominated under the Song of the Summer category at the VMAs.
Bob The Drag Queen
Furthermore, Bob The Drag Queen, or Christopher Caldwell, showed up to the 2022 VMAs’ red carpet in a plaid-suit inspired look with a white skirt. This look definitely gives a feminine and masculine appeal while combining the suit jacket with the skirt!
