These days, stars are receiving more than just awards and trophies at award shows. In fact, they have cities and streets named after them. Recently, the self-proclaimed rapper “Queen of da South” Latto had the state of Georgia put respect on her name and we mean literally. In particular, Latto’s hometown Clayton County, GA gave her the keys to the city and even named a day after her.
She’s Living Up To Her Name
Latto is definitely living up to her nickname, “Queen of da South.” The star especially made that clear after her hometown of Clayton County, GA honored her in the best way possible.
Furthermore, Georgia presented the “Big Energy” rapper with the key to the city and a proclamation that Dec. 18 would be named Latto Day. The “It’s Givin’” rapper received the honor at her second annual Christmas giveaway “Win Some Give Some” foundation. Moreover, the foundation handed out meals, presents and essentials to families in need during the holiday season. Latto enjoys repping for her hometown. Fortunately, Clayton County reciprocated that love by showering the rapper with awards.
She Takes Home Several Awards
Honestly, 2022 has been all about Latto. The rapper has won awards back to back this year. The former winner on the reality TV show The Rap Game received two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance for the live performance of “Big Energy.” Winning contests, taking home awards and even having a day named after her make Latto a force to be reckoned with.
