Rapper T.I.’s son, King Harris, stirred the pot these days when he made some daring claims in regard to being a father and his relationships. King Harris-who shares a baby mama, J’Nijah “Nana” Epps-recently said he was such a good father that she encourages him to talk with other women during a livestream session. Some fans and onlookers definitely raise an eyebrow or two concerning this statement by him about how he parents, or maybe his relationship altogether with Nana.
King Harris was born on August 25, 2004. He is now taking up a major new role as a father. He and Nana have been blessed with a baby boy named King Jr. This transition into fatherhood has not only changed his life but also attracted intense media attention. While King navigates this new chapter, he often shares glimpses of his parenting journey through social media as he bonds with King Jr.
He addressed rumors concerning his parenting and relationship choices, saying in the live stream,
“I’m doing what works for my family and me. People can talk, but at the end of the day, my baby mama knows I got us.”.
Contrary to all the scrutiny from the public eye, King and Nana come forth with a very intact relationship. They post numerous moments online, giving their followers glimpses into their life as young parents. Recently, King, however, has said that he is a “good baby daddy,” and that raises so many questions about how complex they make things between them. He says that Nana allows him to be with other ladies, but the big question now would be: what does this mean in terms of a commitment between the two?.
Already breaking into the music scene is King Harris, better known by his stage name Kid Saiyan. The younger emcee follows in his father’s footsteps with raw lyrics that set fire over the beats to which younger generations are most familiar. He says having a son inspires him toward a new wave of creativity within his music to produce stronger lyrics and deeper connections with an emerging fan base.
My son’s given me a purpose like nothing else,” King said in a recent interview. “Every line I write now comes from wanting to leave a legacy.”
He even collaborated with his older brother, Domani, which further seals King in the musical dynasty of the Harris family.
While he has spoken highly of them, King also hasn’t shied away from controversies. For one, it was once reported that King Jr.’s father, T.I., had questioned King’s paternity of King Jr. and even confronted him with the result of a DNA test. King has denied these, even using social media to refute the claims and claim that he is, in fact, the father of the baby.
I know my truth, and I know my son is mine,” King said on a livestream about the swirling rumors.
The Harris family has had its fair share of public disagreements, including a viral argument between King and T.I. over King’s upbringing and maturity, with T.I. questioning King’s readiness for fatherhood. Yet, the Harris family has their moments of unity.
The family members have gone online in defense: King’s mom, Tiny Harris, telling all fans not to pay attention to what they are hearing online; his sister Zonnique Pullins has spoken her mind in support, having told King to be himself, never mind the drama.
The comments of King about his relationship with Nana have divided fans and followers; some admired the couple’s understanding, while others criticized this very unconventional approach. King seems not to bother and uses the feedback for his creative process.
“People are always going to have opinions, but I’m living my life, not theirs,” he said.
