Khalid is Back!
Many remember the alternative R&B artist from albums such as Free Spirit and American Teen, Khalid is set to release his latest debut album, Scenic Drive, next month. The artist revealed on Instagram the exciting news and is ready to let his listeners on a journey of his life.
“I’m excited for everyone to hear this and live with it,” he writes in the post. “I’m always nervous to release new music but can honestly say this is a project I’ll hold close to my heart forever.”
Khalid has been well over two years since his last full-length album, Free Spirit, in April of 2019. Now, the artist is continuing his run of 2021 tracks, and he’s staying just as present as ever. The nine-track project will include his previously shared track “Present,” which dropped back in October.
‘Scenic Drive’
The new project, Scenic Drive, is set to drop Friday, Dec. 3, and has some surprises along the way. The album is set to have feature guest appearances from well-known music artists such as Alicia Keys, 6Black, Ari Lennox, Kiana Lede, and others.
The “Young, Dumb, & Broke” artist is also featured in Mariah Carey’s new holiday single, “Fall in Love at Christmas,” and is set to premiere the same day as the album. It will appear in Carey’s Christmas special, Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues on Apple TV+.
Khalid had also premiered his new single, “New Normal,” back in July; however, that song is not set to be on the debut of his latest album.
As it becomes closer to the debut, fans anxiously wait for the release. But the El Paso native will undoubtedly give fans what they’ve always wanted.
