After suffering a stroke, the famed film director, John Singleton, is on life support.

The family of Singleton confirmed the news on early Monday, reports Fox 4. As you may know, Singleton first admitted himself into the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, after complaining about complications in his legs. Just a short time after his hospitalization, he suffered a major stroke. Afterward, he was transferred to the facility’s ICU. There he remained in a heavily medically-induced coma.
While his situation is serious, the family of Singleton is in disagreement over who will take over as his conservator. Allegedly, the majority of his family does agree that his mother, Shelia Ward, should be appointed by the court. According to TMZ, Singleton’s daughter, Cleopatra Singleton, does not trust Sheila, and what’s a judge to consider other members of the family as possible conservators. Sources close to the family claim that Cleopatra is worrying about the aftermath of John’s death. Overall, she is concerned about how Shelia will handle Singleton’s estate. Overall, the family members are questioning who will get what, and when they’ll get it.
A judge will make the decision, however, with Singleton on life support, the decision may be rushed.
