The Pussycat Dolls are moving forward with their “PCD Forever” reunion as a trio, but one original member claims her political beliefs played a role in her exclusion from the upcoming tour and new music.
Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts announced the global trek earlier this month alongside the release of their new single “Club Song.” The 53-date tour, promoted by Live Nation, kicks off June 5 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, and runs through October with stops across North America, Europe and the U.K. Lil’ Kim and Mya are set to serve as special guests on portions of the run. The project celebrates the 20th anniversary of the group’s 2005 debut album PCD.
Jessica Sutta, who was part of the classic six-member lineup alongside Scherzinger, Wyatt, Roberts, Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton, addressed her absence in a new interview on The Maverick Approach podcast.
“I was a liability. I align with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligning with MAGA,” Sutta said in the episode. She added that she has been vocal in her support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — now serving as HHS Secretary — and aspects of the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) movement, particularly around vaccine injury advocacy. Sutta has publicly shared her experience with severe health issues following her second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in 2021, describing chronic fatigue, muscle pain and autoimmune-like symptoms that have left her unable to perform at the level required for the tour.
She described the reunion as a “cash grab” and said she and the other non-invited original members were “blindsided,” learning of the plans at the same time as the public. “None of us were called. None of us were told about anything,” Sutta stated. She noted that she had reached out privately to the group in the months leading up to the announcement with limited response, and that Scherzinger called her on the day of the reveal, though she did not answer.
Addressing online backlash labeling her views, Sutta said: “People are screaming at me, ‘You’re MAGA, you’re MAGA.’ Yeah, I am. I triple down on it because I’m so sick of people telling me who I should be. These are psyops, y’all.” She clarified that while she does not support everything associated with former President Trump — specifically citing opposition to war — she believes alignment with RFK Jr. has helped bring attention to vaccine-injured communities.
Sutta had previously posted on Instagram shortly after the March 12 announcement, expressing that her ongoing health struggles meant she “was never planning to return under the current circumstances” anyway, while wishing the trio well and asking for space to process privately. Bachar similarly shared her disappointment at discovering the plans publicly.
On The Today Show, Scherzinger, Wyatt and Roberts responded to questions about the reduced lineup by emphasizing the need to “protect our peace” and noting that the Pussycat Dolls have historically featured a fluid membership. They have focused their promotion on excitement for the new music and the anniversary celebration.
The group’s previous reunion attempts, including plans around 2019-2022, fell apart amid reported tensions and the pandemic. Past members have occasionally referenced internal dynamics, including differing views on creative control and spotlight distribution during the original run.
Sutta, who has been open about her health journey and advocacy work in recent years, told the podcast she still holds fond memories of her time in the group but is prioritizing her well-being and principles. She added that she thought the members were all friends, but “that’s how it goes in Hollywood.”
Tickets for the “PCD Forever” tour are on sale now via Live Nation, with the trio continuing to promote the project across media appearances. The full original lineup last toured together in the late 2000s.
