Harry Styles has announced plans to donate £1 from every ticket sold for his eight-night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium in June 2026 to the LIVE Trust, a UK industry fund designed to support grassroots music venues.
The Wembley dates form part of Styles’ upcoming Together Together tour, a global run structured around multi-night residencies in seven cities rather than a traditional touring schedule. Demand for the London shows was high enough that two additional nights were added after the initial dates sold out.
The LIVE Trust, administered by UK live music industry body LIVE, operates a voluntary grassroots levy scheme that channels contributions from arena and stadium-level shows into financial support for independent venues. The initiative aims to stem the ongoing loss of small and mid-sized spaces that serve as entry points for developing artists.
According to Music Venue Trust (MVT), 125 grassroots venues in the UK closed in 2023 alone, underscoring the continued financial strain on the sector following the pandemic, rising operating costs and narrow profit margins. Funds raised through the levy are used for emergency assistance, sustainability projects and long-term investment in the grassroots live music ecosystem.
With Wembley Stadium’s concert capacity at roughly 90,000, Styles’ eight-night run could generate up to £720,000 for the LIVE Trust if fully sold out, making it one of the largest single contributions to the scheme from a UK stadium engagement.
The pledge builds on Styles’ previous support of independent venues. During his Love On Tour run, the singer participated in fundraising initiatives aimed at helping grassroots spaces recover in the aftermath of COVID-19-related shutdowns. His backing of the levy also places him among a growing list of major artists who have publicly endorsed the £1-per-ticket model.
Some fans praised the move as a meaningful effort to reinvest stadium-level success into the grassroots sector, while others questioned the scale of the contribution given reported ticket prices for the Wembley shows, which in some cases exceed £200.
