    Fire Breaks Out at Chester Zoo in The United Kingdom

    A huge blaze broke out at the Chester Zoo in Cheshire, United Kingdom. Medics treated one person for smoke inhalation. However, no other injuries have been reported. Of course, an investigation has begun looking into the cause of the fire.

    The fire began at the monsoon forest habitat, an attraction billed as “the largest indoor zoo exhibit in UK history.”

    Once everyone made it outside, Chester Zoo they sent out a tweet stating:

    “Visitors were evacuated. The zoo’s team worked with emergency services to bring the situation under control. We are assessing the area and will update with info as we have it.”

    The tourist attraction is home to more than 21,000 animals, bringing in nearly two million visitors a year. It plays a huge role in the conservation of endangered species.
