Elon Musk Slams Eminem as ‘Diddy Party Goer’ After Obama Introduction

Lately, Elon Musk has been heard loudly dissing rapper Eminem, calling him “yet another Diddy party participant.” The comment came after Eminem had appeared to introduce former President Barack Obama at a rally for Kamala Harris in Detroit on October 22, 2024. The jab came via X, formerly known as Twitter, where he has been more outspoken lately about politics, especially as an avid supporter of Donald Trump.

Eminem’s appearance at the rally was not only about politics but was a strong statement for Kamala Harris. Eminem spoke poignantly about freedom of speech and begged voters to use their voices. Even Obama, after being introduced by the rap icon, took the momentum to a whole new level as he took a light moment to rap a few lines from Eminem’s hit song “Lose Yourself,” showing the connection between music and politics that energized the Detroit crowd.

But Musk’s roasting of Eminem has more to it than political rivalry. Musk, an ardent Donald Trump campaigner, only recently appeared at a rally for the former president in Pennsylvania, making his political allegiance very clear. And now, his jab at Eminem had come from the latter’s open support for Kamala Harris—a figure he has repeatedly disparaged.

Musk added The real intrigue in that comment by coupling Eminem with Diddy, a music mogul steeped in serious legal trouble. Diddy has been investigated over sex trafficking and racketeering charges; his name has become synonymous with a storm of controversy. That only makes things a little stranger for Musk’s comment, as Eminem has no known association with Diddy’s infamous parties.

Ironically, Eminem has a history of publicly dissing Diddy. He went hard at Diddy on his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady -(Coup de Grâce)-he referenced the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., cold cases to this day. In that track called “FUEL“, he insinuated that Diddy might have had something to do with it- a bold accusation that brought back old beef. Of course, Musk’s implication that Eminem runs in Diddy’s crew added an extra layer of strangeness, considering the two have been beefing for years.

The public has reacted in a divided manner to Musk’s comment. While fans jumped to Eminem’s defense-

“Em never attended and has always been against Diddy. Do your research Elon! Where’s the community notes people so they can correct this inaccurate info?”

One user by the name @Hell1s wrote, while others centered their theories on Musk’s motive, some insinuating that his tweet may be a deflection from his own allegedly sketchy dealings with Diddy.

This isn’t the first time Musk’s connections to Diddy have become suspect. In the book Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter, Musk is revealed to have a particularly chummy relationship with the producer, even going so far as leaked texts suggest Diddy was an investor in Twitter.

“Puff is a good friend of mine. We text a lot,”

Musk reportedly said in one of the exchanges, begging the question of why he’d now throw Diddy under the bus.

In the wake of Musk’s comment, which continues to raise a storm of controversy, many wonder if this was another manifestation of his habit of courting controversy as a billionaire or if there was something more behind his words.
