Trump also floated renaming the Strait of Hormuz the “Trump Strait” and edited a map graphic to change “New Mexico” to “New America,” writing that the new name is “so much more prestigious and beautiful for the people of that potentially incredible State. The United States remains a party to the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, ratified by more than 100 nations. Article II states: “Outer space, including the Moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means.”
