Today, DJ Khaled announced an exclusive partnership with Def Jam Recordings for his We The Best label venture, as well as future releases on the multi-platinum label.
In the meantime, he’s also taking on a new role as Global Creative Consultant to Def Jam and Universal Music Group. Continuing his role as a worldwide sensation, the global megastar remains a beacon of inspiration and empowerment. He achieves this through the We The Best Foundation, a nonprofit organization he established in 2023 under section 501(c)3.
What’s the deal?
Before he’s the king of the ten-second Snapchats, Khaled was just a nobody in Orlando who’d spent a month in jail for four traffic violations. He was poor, desperate for a fresh start.
He slept in motels on Biscayne Boulevard, a girl’s parents’ house, his girlfriend’s car. To make money, he DJ’d in clubs and on the airwaves.
As a result, he was the omnipresent voice on Miami’s radiowaves — loud and often. It helped him book a few gigs on the club circuit.
After that, he went on to become a major star. He’s worked with the biggest names in the game: Kanye West, Jay Z, Rick Ross, Nas, and more. In the preceding year, he unveiled his thirteenth studio album, titled “GOD DID,” making a remarkable entry at the summit of the Billboard 200 chart. During its inaugural week, the album garnered an impressive 93,000 album-equivalent units. He’s also been nominated for ten Grammys.
Diddy & Mark Wahlberg join Khaled for a round of golf
The We the Best mogul is on a roll with his latest offering the eponymously titled Bad Boy Reign, but that isn’t the only project in the works. He also has a new line of golf clubs and golf attire to boot. While a tee off the green isn’t the norm for the OG, you can bet Diddy is making the most of it. Khaled has even shared a few tee off pics via social media. A requisite shot of Tequila no doubt helped. Besides, it’s a nice way to wind down the day. Khaled’s son Asahd hits a home run
DJ Khaled is a proud father and enjoys spending time with his two sons. He and his fiancee, Nicole Tuck, welcomed Asahd in October 2016, and Aalam in 2020.
Asahd is a big fan of his dad’s music, and he helps out in the studio when he can. The pair have even collaborated on a song together.
But he’s more than just a musician; Khaled’s son also loves to play sports. He even got a chance to hit the tennis court with his dad at one of their many family adventures.

The young boy, Asahd, is a very lucky kid, as his dad, DJ Khaled is one of the richest people in the world. The musician shares a lot of photos and videos on his social media channels, which have garnered him a large following.
He has been spotted wearing monochromatic outfits with designer accessories like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Dolce & Gabbana among others.
Even before he could walk, Asahd was rolling around in a Fendi Monster Inglesina stroller which costs a whopping $1,760.
His dad also owns a massive closet filled with designer sneakers, sized for him to wear.
During his first birthday, DJ Khaled gifted Asahd a $100,000 watch from Franck Muller, crafted with 11.5 carats of diamonds.
