Daz Dillinger Demanded Millions from Suge Knight

During Hip Hop’s lauded Golden Era, Suge Knight was an intimidating force in the industry. He is currently incarcerated and will be for several years, but his presence is still felt throughout the culture.

In a new video, Daz Dillinger revisits a tense moment with his former label head. The Dogg Pound rapper claims that he once strong-armed Suge Knight straight out of $2.5 million!

The story sounds pretty scary, but if true, it’s even more dangerous that Daz Dillinger has the cash to back it up. As a longtime Death Row Records member, Dillinger has been around for many of the label’s most iconic albums.

While Daz Dillinger is not as well-known as fellow West Coast gangsta rap stars Snoop Dogg and Eazy-E, he’s made a name for himself on the independent music scene. He’s a key figure in the rise of West Coast rap as a record producer, group member, and solo artist.

After a long, successful career on Death Row Records, Dillinger left the label in 2002. He then joined up with Kurupt, who was also a former member of the label. The two reunited in 2005 to release an album named Tha Dogg Pound.

Their debut release was Dogg Food, a hit on both the independent and major-label music scenes. They went on to collaborate with Dr. Dre on both The Chronic and Snoop’s seminal Doggystyle. The duo was a defining part of the west coast gangsta rap phenomenon and helped push the genre into the mainstream.
