Chris Brown Dismisses Quavo’s Diss, Praises Takeoff

Quavo recently released a diss track, which debuted on the preview at DJ Akademiks’ live stream “Over Hoez & Btches.” The song immediately went viral on social media, garnering nearly a million views in less than half an hour.

Chris Brown, however, seemed unimpressed by Quavo’s attempt at a clapback. He took to his Instagram Story to express his thoughts, suggesting that Quavo missed the mark with his song.

“Google raps THAT SH*T IS POOOOOOOH. Damn, and I was excited .. that sh*t doesn’t even need a response. Takeoff rap better,”

The hip-hop community eagerly awaits Quavo’s response to Chris Brown’s ‘Weakest Link’, released on Saturday, April 20. In this track, Chris Brown challenged Quavo’s gangsta persona and even suggested that people wished Quavo had died instead of Takeoff in November 2022.

Quavo addressed these allegations in his diss track ‘Over Hos & B***es’, where he also threw additional jabs at Chris Brown, labeling him a “crackhead Michael Jackson”. This marks Quavo’s first music-based response to Chris Brown since ‘Weakest Link’ was released.

Quavo just upped the ante on his beef with Chris Brown by dropping the new Breezy diss song “Over H*es & B***hes.”

The beef between CB and Huncho is heating up. On Monday (April 22), Quavo released the new diss on YouTube. On the new track, which can be heard below, Quavo goes in on the Virginia crooner.

“P***y n***a, pull up, crash out about your bae/Lil’ b***h, come dance battle with my drac’ (Brrt)/You have been f**ked your bag up when you punched Ri’ in the face/Talking about fashion week, you are sparing who?/Come punch me in my face (P***y),” Quavo raps. “It ain’t nun’ but a fade, you know you lost to Frank (Frank Ocean)/N***as ran in your house, tied up your aunt ’cause you ain’t pay (Auntie)/This bullet got your name (Chris)/Don’t even bring up Take, p***y.”

Meanwhile, Saweetie hinted at a possible response in her upcoming single after Chris Brown’s ‘Weakest Link’ was released. She suggested that she had to rewrite the verses of her upcoming single but didn’t specify if she’d be addressing Chris Brown head-on.

The relationship between the two certainly heated since Quavo released the diss track that has everyone talking. In the song, Quavo can be heard labeling Chris Brown with insults and accusations. The song’s cover art is an image of a cartoonish Quavo choking Chris Brown, reminiscent of the image that went viral in 2018.

Despite the diss track, Chris Brown responded nonchalantly, stating on his Instagram Story that the song didn’t even warrant a response and praising Takeoff’s rapping skills. Even 50 Cent weighed in on the diss, expressing his enjoyment of the ongoing feud.

Chris Brown and Quavo’s beef goes way back to 2017 when Chris was not okay with Quavo dating his girlfriend after their breakup. This has not been resolved up to the latest tracks and for now, as an audience, we can only wait and see how the two used to close friends will fight this out. So keep reading and listening.
