LISTEN: RØMANS ft. Kayo Genesis – “People”

1

Following on from his critically-acclaimed recent releases “Glitter & Gold”, “Crashing Waves” and “Perfect”, London-based singer/songwriter RØMANS delivers the fourth and title track of his new body of work “PEOPLE”.

The emerging artist made significant waves since his signing to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint, releasing two recent EPs ‘Silence’ and ‘Automatic’ to critical acclaim, grabbing support across heavyweight tastemakers including the likes of PIGEONS & PLANES, THE FADER and WONDERLAND MAGAZINE for his unique vocal and innovative, textured instrumentals.

‘PEOPLE’ comes through as one of the most hard-hitting and emotive releases of this new project, with a gorgeous piano instrumental making room for RØMANS’ trademark hyper-intelligent lyricism, this time flanked by emerging rapper Kayo Genesis with a rapid-fire flow that sets fire to an already incendiary track.

Currently working with the likes of Khalid, Ella Mai, and Demi Lovato, RØMANS continues to define himself against the current pop landscape – unapologetically smart, talented and with this new release, seems destined for further column inches this year.

Dom McAllister Joins Jungleboi For New Single “Sinners Suicide”

And today, he offers his second release, Sinner’s Suicide, a fusion of EDM, pop, alternative and tribal influences. Sinner’s Suicide is a darkly emotive track that’s to be fully embraced with the lusciously pop-tinged vocals of Dom McAllister.

New Sinner’s Suicide features the acclaimed newcomer Dom McAllister, a uniquely heartfelt vocalist with influences from Sam Cooke, Bob Marley, and Lauryn Hill. His affinity for experimenting with hip-hop and mellow trap influences posits him as a singer with “sophisticated soul”.

Wendy Williams Thinks Cassie Wasted 11 Years With Diddy

Listen: Action Bronson-“Prince Charming”

1

Venturing off on his own after five years in the major label system, Action Bronson sounds refreshed and hungry, ready to embrace the hustle of independent stardom. Enjoying life, but always looking over his shoulder, Bronson inhabits a gentle soul-sampled production on “Prince Charming,” his latest single.

Produced by Knxwledge, who layers vocal samples into an angelic choir atop twinkling keys and boom-bap drums, “Prince Charming” is a lyrical showcase for Bronson, flashing boasts with twisty internal rhymes, all imbued with a subtle paranoia: “A strong sense lingers/Something’s going wrong, I can feel it in my fingers/Like arthritis/When it’s raining.” “Prince Charming” is the latest single from White BroncoBronson’s upcoming album, following the jazz-influenced title track, which recently received a psychedelic music video.

On White Bronco, Bronson reckons with success, throwing himself into his art and fine-tuning his sharp lyrics. His first project as an independent artist in five years, White Bronco finds Bronson returning to the free-wheeling style that made Dr. Lecter and Blue Chips cult favorites, injecting live instrumentation and rapping with renewed focus.

The follow-up to 2017’s Blue Chips 7000, White Bronco features production from Bronson’s longtime collaborator Party Supplies, as well as contributions from Knxwledge, Harry Fraud, and Daringer. Last week, Bronson shared the title track, which received acclaim from Pitchfork, who raved “Bronson proves he’s still one of rap’s most vivid trash-talkers, bragging about his Lamborghini trucks, red leather jackets, and the 20 alligator hides that went into making his shoes, while comparing his musical swagger to Tiger Woods’ smooth swing and his ladies-man status to that of Taye Diggs.”

With a surreal front cover painted by Action Bronson himself, White Bronco arrives this fall via EMPIRE.

Expectations Still High Even Without Russell For Season Opener

Philadelphia, PA — Earlier this month the basketball world learned that 7-time NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook had some routine arthroscopic knee surgery done and will possibly miss the first four weeks of the NBA preseason and possibly some of the regular season.

Based on the timing of the injury, the Oklahoma City Thunder should be able to survive the injury for several reasons.

Early in the Season

If the Thunder going to pick a time when they’d go without their star, this would be the ideal time for that to take place. NBA Preseason games don’t count and losing earlier games in the regular season shouldn’t hurt too much, because there’s 82 games to be played.

Star Power

With 5-time All-Star Paul George at the Thunder’s advantage, the Thunder have a player that can lead the Thunder while Russell Westbrook is out. George has led his former Indiana Pacers to the NBA Playoffs in the past, NBA Semi-Finals in 2012 against the Miami Heat, and he’s been the main star on his own team for 6 to 7 seasons before joining the Thunder.

With all these points made, the one thing the Thunder should be concerned about, is the mileage on Westbrook, plus the simple fact that Westbrook is still nursing an injury he suffered back in April of 2013 during a play involving Patrick Beverly.

The Thunder should ask themselves how severe is Russell Westbrook’s injury, and will it resurface later this season and in the future. Russell Westbrook is 29 years of age, and to constantly have knee surgeries at this point of his career, it will take its toll on his body eventually.

However, if Russell Westbrook is able to remain healthy, some of the pick-ups the team has made during the off-season such as Dennis Schroder, Nerlens Noel, and Patrick Peterson, should help the Thunder advance beyond the first round this season.

In the early portion of the regular season the Thunder will be playing four of their first 6 games against teams that didn’t advance to the playoffs last season: The Phoenix Suns, two games against the Clippers, and the Sacramento Kings.

NBA Season Will Bring About Sure Uncertainty In Every Category

Philadelphia, PA — The new NBA season is here, and after four years of repetitive match-ups in four consecutive NBA Finals, with LeBron departing this summer from Cleveland Ohio, and then taking his talents to sunny L.A, having a new match-up in this upcoming NBA season’s NBA finals, is as close to a guarantee that you can have.

Most would agree, and would also agree this change is great for the game. This wasn’t the only change that took place, the allotment of NBA stars willing to all go and play with each other in the same destination, rather than compete against one another, has also changed.

Based on years’ past, wherever LeBron chose to take his talents, there was then many stars who chose to jump ship and join LeBron James. This past summer that wasn’t the case. Paul George, one of the stars around the league that was rumored to be joining the Los Angeles Lakers when his contract was up, chose to resign in Oklahoma City and remain with the Thunder.

During the Kawhi Leonard-Spurs fallout, there was reports through Espn, Bleacher and many other sources reporting Kawhi changed his mind to join the Lakers once he found out LeBron signed with the Lakers. This past week reports broke out about Jimmy Butler wanting to leave Minnesota, and he chose to dodge joining the Lakers, after the Lakers was one of his original choices, before he found out LeBron joined the Lakers.

This is three stars who chose to go elsewhere, rather than to form a super team with the self-proclaimed “King” of the NBA. There could be many reasons to explain stars recent change of heart to join LeBron. These stars may have come to the reality that the Warriors now control the fate of the Larry O’Brian trophy in the National Basketball Association, or these stars just simply want to dodge the LeBron drama and go their own paths.

Whatever the reason, the NBA has become more interesting, and the number of teams that became better happened with just one move; the move of LeBron James signing with the Lakers. With LeBron leaving the Eastern Conference, which Skip Bayless has on occasion called the “Leastern Conference”, has become wide open.

The Toronto Raptors adding Kawhi Leonard, along with Serge Ibaka, and Kyle Lowry, combined with the experience Kawhi Leonard gained as a member of the San Antonio Spurs championship years, will help a Raptors team that couldn’t get by LeBron James, finally get over the hump, especially with LeBron James no longer present.

Last season, even with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward sidelined with major injuries, the Celtics made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals, and no other team could find an answer for the Celtics, other than LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Adding Kyrie and Hayward to a team that gained playoff experience, will make the Celtics even more formidable.

The Chicago Bulls will have their own story, as they brought in Jabari Parker, in his return home campaign. The Bulls will also have the expectations there with their young star Lauri Markkanen, and Zach Lavine with his first full training camp and season since being set-back with an ACL injury. Will he prove he’s worth 78 million dollars?

New NBA Season Will Bring-1

The Golden State Warriors added 4-time NBA All-star Demarcus Cousins. As if the Warriors needed an addition, the team is already dangerous, won an NBA title without Cousins, who averaged 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assist last season. The Houston Rockets lost Trevor Ariza, who signed a 15-million deal to join the young and up and coming Phoenix Suns, who have a few young gems in Josh Jackson, Devin Booker, and last summer’s number 1 draft selection, Deandre Ayton.

The Rockets then picked up 10-time NBA All-star Carmelo Anthony. This after the Rockets were two games away from defeating the Golden State Warriors, and the Rockets still have the services of Chris Paul, Eric Gordon, and James Harden on their team. The Rockets will be a threat, the Oklahoma City Thunder aren’t going anywhere, and the Lakers with the addition of LeBron James will be a factor, because any team LeBron joins is at least playoff bound.

All of these moves to all of these different playing destinations say’s one thing, the NBA is back to being a fair league, where almost half of the teams around the league have legitimate potential to at least be competitive in their respective conferences, and there’s no guarantee in either conference, or at least one of those conferences.
