Lil Jon, King of Crunk, Helps Open up His Second School in Africa

0

What does Lil Jon, LeBron James, and French Montana all have in common? We’ll give you hint…it has nothing to do with music.

After opening the Abomayaw D.A. Kindergarten, Lil Jon returned to open his second school, in the same rural village in eastern Ghana. The project was a part of Pencils for Promise’s ongoing effort to better education. Pencils for Promise is an organization that helps bring quality education to countries like Guatemala, Laos, and Nicaragua and Ghana.

With the help of Jon’s $70,000 donation, Mafi Atitekpo D.A. Primary School has more than 300 children enrolled. In a statement released to AOL, the rapper said, “Last year [October of 2017] I went with my family to open up my first Pencils of Promise school in Ghana, and now to have over 300 kids already enrolled in my second school there is incredible!” He goes on to say, “It’s been really fulfilling to see the impact these schools have made on so many of these children’s and families’ futures.”

The school was opened just one year after he and PoP helped to open the Kindergarten. The King of Crunk revealed that he wanted at least one of the schools to be built in honor of his late mother, Carrie M. Smith.

“Lil Jon is one of our most loyal and passionate celebrity supporters, from his work in the field to donating his birthday to make two schools a reality, he continues to impact education needs for those in rural communities,” said Tanya Ramos, CEO of PoP.

JACKAL Debuts Bass-Centric Sound On “In Love With Nobody”

0

JACKAL explores the resilience of the human spirit and debuts a triumphant new sound at the same time on his new single “In Love With Nobody.” The LA-based producer wastes no time captivating the listener, opening with cinematic, swelling synths that break for the track’s singular vocal, an angelic yet heartbreaking voice murmuring “I don’t love you anymore.” “In Love With Nobody” breaks down into reverberating basslines and digitized melodic effects that are unlike anything you’ve heard before. “This is actually a happy track. It comes from the feeling of relief of being independent and having no feelings for anyone,” JACKAL explains. “The title is kind of an ode to one of my all time favourite bands The Smiths. I feel like Morrissey would totally name a track ‘In Love With Nobody.’” JACKAL‘s new sound is experimental, bass-heavy and yet emotive, reflecting the creative passion he’s poured into his music this year. “In Love With Nobody” follows his recent “Don’t Come Near Me I am a Monster,” which provided the first glimpse into the producer’s transformation as an artist.

Whether it be the confines of the dreary English seaside town he grew up in or the boundaries between musical genres, JACKAL has made it his life’s work to break barriers. Driven by an unshakeable desire to make music, JACKAL‘s singular work ethic lead him to release his first single “Shakedown” in 2013, debuting the combination of low BPM, heavy hip-hop bass and dancehall vocals that made JACKAL a hit. Bolstered by the success of “Shakedown,” JACKAL moved to LA and began releasing tracks on labels like Mad DecentOWSLA and BuygoreJACKAL, aka Mikey Pennington, draws his influences from everything from UK grime and garage house to heavy metal, fusing these with his signature bass and electro-house sound. For those fortunate enough to witness his live sets, they can attest that JACKAL delivers a genre-bending experience like no other. As “In Love With Nobody” continues his journey and re-invention as an artist, keep an eye out for more brand new music from this promising artist.

Cardi B has grown to be the inspiration for women wanting a better life for themselves.

The former dancer turned chart-topper, has changed her life completely by continuing to grind and be consistent in the music business. Despite her having a newborn, that has not slowed down “Bodak Yellow” rapper from getting that bag.

The official unveiling took place during a concert with City Girls, Saweetie, and other artists as well. The official fashion collab reflected 80 pieces, Cardi sat down with Vogue to discuss the new line. She even provided great commentary stating that the line up contained “A Whole lotta of vaginas”.

They are things that I see myself wearing, like in the ’60s and the ’70s,” Cardi told the publication. “I was thinking a lot about what would I wear in the falltime, like we have a lot of jackets, we have a lot dark colors, a lot of mustards, belting, a lot of blues. Nothing so bright. I love bright things but I was like, ‘I don’t think people want to wear a lot of bright shit in the wintertime.’ It’s very chic. It’s really more of the things that I always wanted to wear but more affordable.” You can watch the stream of the concert here.

Kim Kardashian-West Says She “Educated” Kanye After Trump Visit

Kim Kardashian-West knows that her husband Kanye West isn’t the greatest of communicators.

Kim Kardashian-West knows that genius-level people struggle with words – especially expression. So Kim let it be known that she educated her husband on Trump’s Policies before he took a stand for free-thought in the White House as of recent.

“I know it’s very confusing because, when you see someone wearing a red hat, you think they support that,” she added. “But he’s just fighting for free thought. And for the freedom to like a person, even if it’s not the popular decision.”

Kim Kardashian West Says She-1

“West is “not very political, actually,” she claims. He “just happens to like Donald Trump’s personality, but doesn’t know about the politics.”

Regardless of whether people understand Kanye, it confuses the people who support him by throwing mixed signals. Kim knows his struggle and is here to help her husband get his thoughts and motives translated and understood.

Tyler Responds To “Boyfriend” Claims: Calls Jaden “Crazy”

0

Tyler The Creator went to Twitter to clear up the accusations that he and Jaden Smith are dating as a couple.

Tyler in a jokingly manner responded:

Earlier in the week, Jaden (during a live performance) made the claim himself on stage during a performance. If you missed it, check it out here.

Though The Creator’s response doesn’t necessarily rectify the issue, it at least lets us know that the two are at least on a good common ground. Most people wouldn’t laugh a stunt like this off.

Clothing Brand Sued By Migos

Your brand is everything in the world of business.

The trio of Migos has grown to become one of the most popular groups out of Atlanta. For several years the squad of new age talent has lived on the charts, and continue to dominate in the world of streaming. Quavo and Takeoff have already dropped a solo project, with Offset solo debut set to drop in December.

Migos have been busy with it rumored that there next group album “Culture III” will drop sometime in early 2019. At the moment they are sharing the stage with Drake on the “Aubrey And Three Migos Tour”. In addition, they are currently fighting a lawsuit launched against them for an unauthorized sampling of “Walk It Talk It”.

The ATL group is now focusing their attention in a different direction. YRN (Yung Rich Nation) is a clothing line that Migos and another business partner currently own. Migos claim that they have been cheated out of royalties owed to them from the brand.

According to news source “The Blast”, the brand has provided false accounting giving them inaccurate information regarding money owed.  Back in 2015, the group signed a deal with the brand for a percentage of royalties that would be paid from sales.

They received further complications when the business partner refused to turn over the proper share of earning. In addition, there related slogans such as “Culture” and “Bad and Boujee” was sold without there consent.

The trio look’s to discontinue the clothing line from making any further money off there name. Earlier this year, YRN sued the group because of allegedly not holding up there end of the agreement in regards to wearing the clothes, and being present at photo shoots. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date once more information is made available!!
