0

Cardi has become a new wave of inspiration in the world of Hip-Hop and fashion.

The former reality star has become a well-known presence in her ability to be influential. Earlier this year it was announced that Cardi B would collaborate with Steve Madden, and be a brand ambassador. After the announcement, Steve Madden saw changes instantly.

Now Cardi B is pushing herself out there even more with the premiere of her debut clothing collection with online brand, Fashion Nova. In one of her songs Cardi rapped about how she takes in $20K a month from her collaborations with the brand.

Most recently Cardi confirmed her aspirations for her first foray into clothing design to respected publication, Business Of Fashion. Cardi shared how thankful she is for Fashion Nova

They are always loyal to me. It’s like a friendship now,” she said. “I’m also really proud of them. Their brand has sold so much, and I have sold so much at the same time and it’s like, ‘Yay, we did it!’ We both did it at the same time.”

“Every little detail to me matters. I want to make these women look so happy — so radiant, sexy, so corporate and poppin’. I want them to look like they’re wearing Gucci and Prada, but they’re not, they’re wearing my line.”

The chief executive of Fashion Nova, Richard Saghian,  was excited about the launch “We have no doubt that it will sell out in minutes,” “We’re prepared for the demand and expect the line to be very lucrative. We’ll be looking for more celebrity collaborations as well.”

Damn Melo, They Don’t Want You Coming Off The Bench No More!!

3

For decades Melo (Carmelo Anthony) has been considered one of the most prolific offensive weapons to touch the hardwood.

But it seemingly has all changed over the last four years. Many discussions have come about in regards to whether or not the former #3 in on the 2003 draft career is coming to an end.

Just recently signed with The Houston Rockets was thought to bring bout a Championship formula with the addition of Carmelo. However, The Rockets have seen nothing short of horror with Melo killing the productivity of the James Harden-Chris Paul led Rockets.

With rumors of Carmelo to be released, many believe that this is the perfect opportunity for Melo to sign with the Lakers or even Golden State Warriors.

2018 is the year for Wu-Tang Clan as they continue to spread the brand to new heights. At the current time, the memorable emcee’s are in the midst of a world tour for the 25th anniversary of their debut album “Enter THe Wu-Tang Chamber”.

The creative renaissance man of the group known as “RZA”, is making some interesting moves in the world of business. RZA has partnered with the high-end movie theater chain “Alamo Drafthouse”, for a new concept bar set to open in New York’s Staten Island. The venue will be called “The Flying Guillotine, a kung-fu inspired bar concept.

It’s an extreme pleasure to be partnering with Alamo Drafthouse on their Staten Island location. When I first visited Alamo Drafthouse in 2004, I was blown away by the food, drink, and service that accompanied a slew of cool, genre and time-crossing films. The kung fu film selection was my favorite, and the opportunity to see these classics once again on a large screen returned me back to my youth.”

Serving an extensive menu of themed cocktails, spirits, and collaboration beers created by RZA and Alamo Drafthouse’s beverage director Bill Norris, The Flying Guillotine will also include a video store offering free rentals from an exhaustive collection of titles (including martial arts classics personally approved by RZA), as well as an archive of memorabilia and posters that cover the vast span of kung fu film history. Alamo Drafthouse Staten Island will also feature monthly screenings of martial arts classics with after-parties at The Flying Guillotine.

The venue plans to officially open some time in 2019.

Chicago Native Warhol.SS is “War Ready” With UnoTheActivist

3

One of the internet generation’s most reliable purveyors of absorbing, speaker-knocking rap music, Warhol.SS is more than ready for IRL fame. Showing off his technical skill with a swung cadence, Warhol shares “War Ready,” his latest single. Trading bars with ATL rapper UnoTheActivist atop dramatic synths and syncopated percussion courtesy of producer Staccato, Warhol prepares for battle in the new track, listing the myriad reasons he is not one to mess with: “Speaking of demons, I run with a couple/Got 500 shooters, we ready to rumble/He buildin’ an empire, we make it crumble.” Premiered by XXL, “War Ready” is the latest single from Chest Painshis upcoming debut album, following the spritely, Complex-premiered lead single “With Ease.

Combining immersive trap-style beats and energetic ad-libs with an old-school sense of songwriting and slick lyricism, Chest Pains finds the 20-year-old Warhol.SS coming to his own, unifying his experimental ideas and his commercial ambitions. Though the album boasts gorgeous production and infectious hooks, Warhol.SS imbues the project with heavy symbolism–with a title referring to his rough upbringing in Chicago and an album cover featuring bumble bees, reflecting Warhol’s status as the “last of a dying breed.” Featuring appearances from Trippie ReddLil MoseyHoodrich Pablo Juan, Rico Nasty, UnoTheActivist, and Lil Duke, with production from the likes of Murda Beatz, Kenny Beats, Cashmoney AP, Harry Fraud, and others, Chest Pains arrives on November 14th via EMPIRE.

Born on Chicago’s East Side, Warhol.SS grew up in a music-loving family, with a mother who loved Erykah Badu and a father who loved MF DOOM. Inspired by his city’s famous “Class of 2012” drill rappers, Warhol started making music in high school, jumping headfirst into the game after graduation. In 2016, Warhol.SS shared the video for “Speed Racer,” directed by then-newcomer Cole Bennett, who posted the video on his YouTube channel, Lyrical Lemonade. A head-spinning video even by Bennett’s standards, the video shrunk Warhol down to the size of a model car as he floated through a psychedelic landscape, introducing the world to Warhol and racking up over 2.8 million views in the process. Since releasing “Speed Racer,” Warhol has been one of the most in-demand names of rap’s digital youth, collaborating with the likes of Trippie Redd, Rich The Kid, Ski Mask The Slump God, Famous Dex, ThouxbanFauni, and many more, dropping Warhol ’16 and Where’s Warhol, a pair of seven-track mixtapes, and building a reputation as an exceptional rhymer. Stay tuned for Chest Pains, coming next week.

Irish Musician Rocstrong Drops New Single ‘Ching Ching Ching’

0

After a brief hiatus following 2017’s ‘Be Cool’, and a year spent gigging around Europe, exciting genre-defying Irish musician ROCSTRONG is back with a brand new single titled ‘CHING CHING CHING’, and its accompanying visuals, as premiered via Official Charts and featured on Spotify New Music Friday – the video was filmed in Barcelona, Kinshasa, Montevideo and Paris, and directed by Federico Bazzi and Emmanuel Miranda. ‘Ching Ching Ching’ is the first single from Rocstrong’s forthcoming sophomore EP All On Black, which is set to be released on December 3, through West One Music Group.

Written and co-produced by Rocstrong, ‘Ching Ching Ching’ is a politically charged record about the power of money, and the wide wealth disparity in society in 2018. Backed by heavy guitar riffs and hard-hitting drum arrangements, and an infectious chant-like chorus, Rocstrong laments how we are being sold the dream that money is the most important thing in life, and how we are all fast becoming slaves to it.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Ching Ching Ching’, Rocstrong says, “my main goal with this record and video would be to show the undeniable contrast that this world has to offer, where hunger and misery have a hold on the majority of our population, while the 1% thrives on unimaginable power and luxury. The video tries to show the contrast in these two realities, depending on where you live, and how we all have truly become slaves to the money”.

The record also serves as an urgent pushback against the mainstream media and big business, who, according to Rocstrong, “hype up the importance of money, and want us to believe that if we work our ass off, we will someday achieve this ‘idyllic’ lifestyle. In the end, many of us live blinded and look away on many issues, maybe because we think we can’t do anything about it, or maybe because we no longer care about making this world a better and more fair environment”.

With over two million streams already under his belt and recent support from NMENialler9RTEHotpress Magazine and BBC Radio Ulster, Rocstrong first burst onto the scene with his debut single ‘Go Head’, which was featured in the 2016 Coen Brothers movie Hail, Caesar, and described as “one of the biggest breakthrough debuts for an Irish artist”. His debut EP SOWYG (Show Off What You Got) soon followed, to rave reviews and critical acclaim globally.
