Ayesha Howard Shares Disturbing Text Messages from Anthony Edwards in Court

Ayesha Howard, known in the hip-hop world as Little Ms. Golden and the mother of Lil Baby’s son, is in a legal battle with NBA star Anthony Edwards over their newborn daughter. Court documents include text messages that have sparked discussions among fans of both basketball and rap.

Howard, who previously had a relationship with rapper Lil Baby, met Edwards in 2022 while he was establishing himself as a key player for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Their relationship led to a pregnancy announcement in January 2024, but according to Howard, Edwards cut off communication soon after learning the news.

As part of her court filing in California, Howard submitted messages allegedly from Edwards. In the exchanges, Edwards reportedly told Howard to

    “Get da abortion lol”

    and stated,

    “I won’t be in a child’s life I don’t want lol.”

Screenshots of the messages have been widely shared online, drawing strong reactions from the public. Some argue that Edwards was being upfront about his stance, while others criticize the way he handled the situation.

Howard is seeking full legal and physical custody of their daughter, Aubri Summers Howard, who was born in October 2024, as well as child support. Edwards, however, is requesting a paternity test and has filed legal documents in Georgia, aiming to move the case there. Legal experts point out that child support laws differ by state, and a ruling in Georgia could result in lower financial obligations for Edwards compared to California.

Though Lil Baby is not directly involved in this case, his past relationship with Howard remains relevant. Howard and her son with Lil Baby currently live in Georgia, which may be part of Edwards’ reasoning for wanting the case heard there.

Beyond this custody dispute, Howard is also pursuing a separate lawsuit against a hospital for allegedly leaking details about her pregnancy. Meanwhile, Edwards continues to focus on his NBA career, with questions lingering about whether this legal situation will affect his performance on the court.
